You can't leave an eligible contracted player out of your 25....they must be included. And you can't get rid of them by loaning them out after you've named your 25 players....has to be done before the date you inform the EPL of your squad.
Correct. You can only leave them out if your 25-man squad is full as I understand. Say we signed a new CB, and left out Gardos for the first half of the season, does that make much sense financially? I can see why we might be trying to work around that.
A few points. 1. He's burnt his bridges at Everton 2. Spurs always seemed to be his suitors and favoured destination 3. They don't appear to want him any more Bearing in mind 1 and 3 coupled with the inevitable arrival of Sigurdsson, I reckon he'd be happy to "settle" for a less lucrative deal here. And I would be jumping up and down whilst trying to control a boner if he did. What a talent! Just what we need.

There's nobody bigger who would really want him. West Ham would pay the wages he wants and Everton will lower their price as it gets towards the end of the window as he only has a year left
Agree that nobody bigger wants him at the moment but I think his ego would stop him moving to West Ham, at least for this transfer window.
We shall see, think the money and the pull of London would be enough to sway him. Especially as chances at Everton will be limited with Klaasen and Rooney
I'd rather we spent our money on somebody like Dendoncker if we were spending that type of money. Available for 25m, less wage demands, younger and the midfield dm engine we've been after. Reckon he will have bigger suiters than us but that's the type of player I want.
