Just met my man on the beach again who told me some stories: A sad story: Siggy is quietly awaiting a decision about his future and is happy either way, to stay if the board wants him to or go if they don't. Either way he will abide by the outcome of the negotiations with Everton but in truth he is still a little upset that his loyalty to us went unrequited. The main story: Last night negotiations reached an impasse with both boards refusing to move. Allegedly Everton bid is well below our valuation and below anything reported in the media too. There is another player involved in Evertons bid but, apparently we're not too keen on any swap deals. Our board wants cold hard cash to get a replacements for Siggy, not a soft option of a player they didn't choose. Everton have been nothing but consistently persistent though all of this. Even after constant rejection they keep coming back for more. My man on the beach suggests this is because Everton are currently testing our metal but, will eventually pay us our asking price if we continue to show resolve. I'll throw this in for fun, our asking price is not £50m, WTF A side story: Our board will only sell Siggy if they have a replacement lined up to immediately take his place with no delay. Viera is looming large in this picture but his agent is acting strangely and is requesting, not demanding, that every penny we make on Siggy be included in the deal we make for Viera. That is, if his club sell him for £30m, any surplus from the Siggy deal be included in some way in the personal terms we negotiate with Viera. Our board have asked him to be wary, as we are the only club who have shown a firm interest in Viera and the only club who he has had preliminary talks with, so Vieras agent is not in a good bargaining position, we're apparently the only club who's shown any solid interest in his man. A different story: We may soon be signing full back Andy Yiadom from Barnsley who can play both RB and LB, if we can agree terms that is?
There is no other club at the minute, but it all hinges on the ****y Toffees, Vieri is excited at the thought of joining the Swans, cannot say anymore, otherwise I could be in trouble, just read between the lines on Clements last statement on everything needs to be finalised by the weekend!......
Looks to me that Gylfi has been screwed over by the club. If I was him, I'd have his agent come out and say he wants to stay. Judging by your comments Stumpy, its clear he does want to stay and the Yanks have destroyed his reputation with a lit of the fans. He looked gappy enough training yesterday. Did your 'man on the beach' easy what our asking price is?
Looks like Gylfi is a dead man walking and ius being FORCED out by the Yanks or Clement? Does your contact know if Clement wants Gylfi to stay? If we sign someone like Chadli instead of a player like Viera we are going down.

Nothing to do with the fact that it's a new tax year........ We sure could do with Ken Dodd's tax adviser....... Blast, he's driving from New York to Florida......
Ken Dodd topped the Bill at a Round Table charity event held in The Brangwyn Hall. A colleague of mine actually organised the event and he informed me that Dodd demanded £2,000.00 cash, and a Rolls Royce to collect him from High Street Station, First Class rail ticket, of course. That was back in the '70's, so the fee was quite a bit of money then. He went down like a lead balloon because he had to follow an up and coming Welshman named Max Boyce, who had the audience in the palm of his hands. Dodd's fee went under the mattress, of course, but the taxman got him eventually. I never liked him before the event, and liked him less after.
But surely he could have blocked the move if he wanted him to stay. Could have come out and said he's not for sale?
