Young Boys would be our best tie. They score and concede loads like ourselves but we have much more quality to beat them.

 

I hope everyone realises that we will be 3rd seeds in group and will have to really go some to have any chance if progressing.

If we get any Italian teams bar Juve i feel we can at least match them. We've beaten Borussia with a worse team and the other German teams are poor away. Miss Spanish teams at all costs and any French teams im happy with.

It's the long distance teams we need to avoid as we've been known to struggle.

We will beat any of them.

 

Roma and Napoli (if they get through will be in Pot3 with us, so can't draw them We have a 1 in 7 chance of drawing Juve from pot 1.

Avoiding a Spanish team will be tough. Assuming we dont get Real from pot1, Barca, Atletico and Sevilla will be 3 of the 6 teams we can draw from pot2.

Also got to Qualify first!!

I'd rather not get Nice or Hoffenheim.

Sure, we'd be favourites, but I'd rather play one of the easier teams. Won't hit our rhythm yet, these early games when squads been out for a while are made for upsets.

 

Don't forget Nice have Balotelli and he can't score at Anfield.

You are right though there will in all likelyhood be one Spanish team in our group. The new rules for seeding mean that if you avoid PSG, Bayern, Real in pot 1 you can beat the pot 1 team but then the pot 2 team will be hellishly tough.

In the end this is WHY spurs have been idiots for years in europe and have done themselves zero favours dumping the europe rather than going deep into it. They have cost themselves ranking point and a 2nd pot position.

Same for us. we have failed miserably under several managers to be in europe and thus have holes in our coefficient that will hold us back.

 

Watching these Austrian women is like watching a Pulis team.
