Hopefully. I think she would make make easy work of Barney Roy and Ulysses.

Well done to Ron (and grandson – clearly a good judge in the making) on getting Endless Time. Who would have expected a four-way finish after fourteen furlongs on that ground?

Delighted to see Winter win. Clearly she gets the ten furlongs well, she was not cursed with my money or an Alex Hammond tip. I wonder if they will be thinking about taking on the boys with her – perhaps the Irish Champion Stakes or indeed the English Champion Stakes (frequently run on easy ground). If they step Churchill up to ten in the Juddmonte, they will want them to avoid each other.

Gordo confirming pretty much everything we've been hearing about James Bowen for the last couple of years.

God just seeing the replay there she's won that so easy lads, hands and heels from Moore just to nudge her out. Looks plenty left there, they weren't in her class. Have to take on the boys next surely?

Ruby's riding Galway terribly this week so i'm keen to see if he adopts the right tactics on Lac Kivu now.

Winter was good then but Enable had produced much more impressive victories either visually in the two Oaks (albeit beating nothing) and beating decent horses in the King George (albeit on ground she clearly handled much better than the rest). Winter's good but not as good as Enable imho.

Winter hasn't been given a chance against the boy yet so id reserve judgment. Winter has beat everything she's met this year pretty easily. I'm not saying she's better than Enable but given a chance in open company I'd fancy her to show herself to be as good as Enable. In other words if she got a run in the Juddmonte I'd fancy her to win easily. Although I've a feeling they'll aim Churchill or Cllifs of Moher at it.

I was referring to a situation where Enable would be running against Winter. They'd both beat the chaps because of the rather farcical sex and age allowances.

At the moment, I do not see any way that Enable is not the better of the two three year old middle distance fillies (if it is alright to call Winter as such after one race at more than a mile).

Both put up performances that can be questioned not because of the fact that they won – nobody would suggest that either of them won thanks to luck in running or some such – but because of the performances and quality of the opposition. All either of them could do was win.

If the ground had not chased off half the opposition, I would have been all over Winter as my bet of the week at the 7/4 that was available a couple of days ago. When she won the 1000 Guineas she looked like a class act and she continues to improve her performances.

I think that today’s race was a bit of a muddle, it looked like So Mi Dar ran too fresh first time up and clearly the plan with Sobetsu was to try and steal the race by making the running. The runner-up Blond Me won a poor four-runner Group 2 last time (Queen’s Trust behind) and I was at Sandown last year when she was three lengths behind Persuasive in a Group 3, so the form does not look strong.

Enable will never run at any trip shorter than a mile and a half so doubt it will happen. It's speed vs stamina, the best miler vs the best middle distance. Only a race over 10 furlongs would be of interest. There is a small possibility of Winter running in the Arc if Coolmores colts don't prove up to scratch. Winter doesn't strike me as wanting more than a mile but her class got her through it today. If they didn't have Churchill she would definitely be aimed at the QE2.

Shout Beefy. Got up on the line to take the honours. 3 fallers at the first fence all missed by Scahill. To be fair he did mention the departure of one of them but it took him until halfway through the race. He's a shocking commentator.

    Again this comment made. Why?

If the 5lb allowance that fillies get was farcical, then every trainer would be queuing up to run fillies in the Derby. With their allowance fillies win their fair share of Group races. That's all there is to it.
