Yeah, and everyone seems to be pinning their hopes on Bowen based on his pre-season performances, but are forgetting that young players are always involved in pre-season and it isn't necessarily indicative of their prowess at senior level. Remember this is a guy who's done literally nothing in the game so far.
Harper's actually still playing, he's at Hendon FC. Not sure about Edge, I think he went on to play guitar in U2.
Home Championship Hull insisting on getting player on a loan deal, Hull insisting on getting player on a loan deal, good salary offer could attract him Hull City are reportedly insisting on getting Marvin Zeegelaar from Sporting CP on a loan deal. After claims on Tuesday said this kind of deal had been turned down by the Portuguese club, it seems the Tigers are building up good arguments to convince them. O Jogo had Tuesday’s report, but now it’s Jornal de Notícias who come up with the updates. They say Hull will be offering Zeegelaar a salary of €500k for the year he would spend at the club. That’s much more than the €180k he earns at Sporting. The Portuguese club would rather sell, because otherwise they’ll have the same work to offload Zeegelaar next summer. But Hull are also offering Sporting €500k for the loan, and believe that will be enough to convince them. please log in to view this image Jornal de Notícias claim it’s possible that Sporting will demand an obligatory buying clause at the end of the spell. They would ask for €5m, as they’ve been doing for months. Despite having blocked a move to Norwich City last winter, Zeegelaar now only wants to play, and Hull could give him this chance. He’s already been told he’s not in Jorge Jesus’ plans for the season. That’s why the Championship increasingly looks like a good option. Apparently there's a good chance we'll get him... Jesus that lad looks a unit !!!

Club try to provide competition to Hull City in pursuit of defender, but Tigers’ offer better By Lucas Sposito - 3rd August 2017 Hull City have just gained some competition for the signing of Marvin Zeegelaar from Sporting CP. According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola today, Turkish side Göztepe SK are also interested in the left-back, and would be willing to pay his full wages during a one year loan. The problem for the Super Lig side is that Sporting are not very keen on loaning the player, as their intention is to offload him for good, so they don’t have to find him a new destination again next summer. Considering the reports from this Wednesday, it seems Hull City’s offer is still much better. Newspaper O Jogoclaimed the Tigers were offering the player a salary of €500k – much more than the one he earns in Portugal – and would also pay Sporting €500k for the loan. It will be interesting to see Sporting’s reaction before the end of the transfer window. In case no clubs show up wanting to pay the fee for an immediate permanent transfer, the Lions will have to give up and send Zeegelaar out on a loan deal, otherwise they will be paying wages for a player who’s not in the manager’s plans. Hull City will be waiting. And as I said... ****ing unit this lad..
Zeegelaar would be a quality signing. I am wondering if Max Clark has had a word with the gaffer about playing left back? Been used there in training this week, played a LB while on loan at Cambridge. Could he have realised that he might not get many opportunities in midfield and fancies having a good go at LB?
Yeah I could ask him as well? I know I'm not gonna get a start up front so who knows he might let me go lefty?
