    No he didn't,

He also didn't do more than Hernandez, who linked up well with Niasse along with scoring 5 goals.

They both got 3 assists for the season.

And one of Grosicki's assists bounced off him because he was too **** to control it. Or more likely couldn't be arsed to. Lazy soft bastard saw a defender coming and bottled it.

Whereas Hernandez had some fantastic assists. The first Niasse goal from memory was a brilliant piece of work between the two.

The one saving grace may be that he will have to play well to get a transfer

    More hopeful than expectant though...

The comparison to Elmo under Bruce for most of his time here is someone who got the ball a lot and who was obviously a big part of the attacking game plan but who really wasn't a threat with his end product.

Hernandez does normally put work in, maybe he didn't always under Bruce but then you could say that for some others like Huddlestone, so I wonder how much that was to do with Bruce.

Can I suggest a quick look on Youtube. It will only take 5 mins for the memory to kick in. A long way behind for sure.

All this - fully correct - criticism of Turbo makes me return to an interesting topic:

Were Marco Silva's signings any good?

I really don't think they were. And when you take into account our weak as piss capitulation at the end of the season and us being the only bag o' ****e to get turned over by Stoke in something like 3 months and I think we all got a bit carried away with him.

I fully expect Watford to go down this season.

Yep, as I suggested the last time someone said they were confused why these players weren't figuring in their parent clubs' plans - it's because none of them really did anything spectacular with us. Markovic was certainly getting some form and consistency together, but then he got injured. Niasse went the other way.

I think he'll do ok with Watford where he can actually bring in decent players though.

You have to appreciate at the time, we needed a quick fix. We were bottom of the league and looked down and out. What caliber of player do you expect to attract when your in that situation? That is why most deals were loans, most players arnt going to sign a 4 year deal to a club almost certain of being relegated.

MS signed the best he could. He was ambitious, we tried to bring in much better players, Honda for example. But obviously most turned us down.

Also Watford are a much more stable club than ours and he's already making good signings over there. He's about to complete a deal for the latest Brazilian sensation for £17m. Watford and MS will be absolutely fine this season.

I trust if this polish prick is still at the club come the end of August, that he will be boo'd on every touch of the ball.

Ahh the latest 'Brazilian sensation', chuck a stick around Rio or Sao Paolo and you hit one. I'm not saying this kid won't be great but I've seen ****loads of 'the new Peles' come and go in my time without ever achieving a ****ing thing.

And yes of course I appreciate our predicament and the restrictions of that, but it doesn't detract from the fact that they were largely poor and average at best.

Partly true, but he made the shortlist of about 4 players on merit alone. That wasn't decided by a Polish vote.

It was six players and they were picked by a panel made up of Peter Beagrie, Paul Merson, Mike Riley and Malcolm Clarke, he wasn't actually top sixty that month, never mind top six.
