Why dont you bet on us winning the FA Cup like I usually do?. The odds are usually around 40/1 and there is more chance of that happening than relegation, plus you'd be much happier...:)

Pretty much as I see it. MP will hopefully have got a few more answers from tonight but Saturday is our last game before the big KO so we should see a much more settled side close to the starting line up with fewer subs.

OK say lets say I put £100 on a bet at 40/1. If this bet wins then I am due a £4000 profit on my bet. But if, at some point, the odds on the bet drop to say 20/1 I can go to a website like Betfair and lay my bet. This essentially means that I become the bookmaker offering 20/1 odds. I say I am happy for a total of £195 to be placed with me at these odds.

If then the bet does indeed come in then I win £4000 from my original bet, but have to pay out £3900 to the people who bet with me at 20/1, meaning a profit of £100. If the bet doesn't come in then I lose my £100 that I bet originally, but win the £195 I received from becoming the bookmaker, making £95 profit, so either way I win.

It is a way of betting I do on long term bets (like league winners/relegation etc) as it doesn't so much matter about the overall outcome, you are more trying to predict which way the odds will move over the season.

I hope that makes sense, I'm pretty tired so may have messed the maths up :D

Tbh, I don't consider Messi because he'd have nowhere else to go better.

That was really annoying tonight, I was in the Itchen Stand and the roof leaks like a sieve, as bad as our defence to be fair.

I didn't hear any where I was, just a sort of glum respectful silence.

Yeah the same. I took advantage of going to sit in our new season ticket seats after the whistle and was well chuffed and perked me up no end. Went out on a high. I'm not worried. I think these players and manager will click. Boufal and Tadic shared a move of supreme skill right in front of the Itchen. The totally annoying screamingly obvious thing is that if VVD wasn't being such an a*s* he would be the total difference in our side.

Well that was **** haha. But I'll read as much into it as I did the 3-0 win we had prior to tonight.

Not reading too much into this but how have we failed to strength given some really obvious areas of being short last year?

Mauricio looked visibly pissed off in his interview but his honesty is so refreshing. I know Puel struggled with getting across in English but it's nice to have something different than "it's disappointing but there are many interesting possibilities.

I think the board see this team as good enough to compete for 7/8th this season - which really worries me. A lack of investment isn't staying the same, it is going backwards.

Yeah I thought I heard it too but wanted to check with someone who went to the game. If we had lost 4-0 on the opening day against Swansea then sure booing wouldn't be acceptable, but a friendly game? On a very wet night where players are also trying to not to get injured? Morons.

As for the game, Augsburg weren't very friendly, our build up is far too slow, we still can't hit a barn door with a banjo, the defence was a disorganised rabble who played as if they were complete strangers. Fraser seemed to be in a world of his own, only his out kicking out has improved. We lost possession too easily and no one was imune from that. Not sure what Redmond was supposed to be doing in the first half other than hitting the crossbar. Oriol was playing too far advanced and needs a better partner as a midfield defender. The others were all good in parts but not consistent enough. I know it isn't the expected line up for Swansea but what we have will have to do a bit better or we will see another defeat against Sevilla on Saturday. Lessons will have been learned but it is leaving it late to make changes. I put the blame entirely on VD.
