England goalkeeper Karen Bardsley broke her leg against France on Sunday night and carried on for 14 minutes, she ain't no cry baby!
Neymar Saga is getting pretty hot. Team mates against him, Fans hate him, Banners and posters against him from fans. If this goes through, and PSG don't get hit with a FFP ban/point reduction/elimination from major competitions. Then this whole thing typifies how ******ed this whole football law system is, and the Barca fans are going to want blood from Neymar!
Just watched the Arsenal Vs Benfica friendly. It's the 3rd game I've seen from Arsenal. I have often heard about a youth prospect called Reiss Nelson. This Pre Season, he's be starting. He looks amazing! If he doesn't get a good load of games this season, then it's disgusting. He looks better, more confident and more talented on the ball, than most of the Arsenal team. He is going to be such an exciting player to look out for. If he starts/subs fairly regularly this season, I wouldn't be surprised if he was in the England squad soon. He reminds me of Sterling and Walcott at a young age.
This is pretty bad. Made me feel embarrassed for him. The club statement feels like "what we should say" but why did they appoint him in the first place! And why didn't they sack him at the end of last season!? He simply wasn't up to it! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40788135
This guy pretty much needs to retire. On as a sub, off injured again. Unbelievable. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40794043
"Manchester United are interested in signing Paris St-Germain's 24-year-old right-back Serge Aurier, who is currently banned from entering the UK." ..Right. Who's your scout??
For all you 'lovers' of stats, I just read this in today's EDP - "Up front it has been Nelson Oliveira leading the way, scoring five goals in his 356 minutes, averaging out to a goal every 71 minutes – including a superb individual effort against Bielefeld. Cameron Jerome played 48 minutes more and chipped in with two goals, hinting that it is Oliveira who is likely to be first choice but his hard-working performance emphasising that both are likely to have big roles to play this season." CJ has played more minutes, but has only scored 2 goals as opposed to 5 for Basil (I think he has provided more assists than Basil though!!!). Interesting to see the number of minutes that Zimmerman has played and he looked quite at home against Brighton. Good to see sustained use of James maddison, suggesting he'll be paramount in DF's thinking in the new season - especially with Pritchard nobbled and Wes not match fit
For those who do scoreline predictions, etc (which I don't) here's a final league table predictor for the new season. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40715451 Also, a poll to see how many are in favour of safe standing / rail seating. http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...a-safe-standing-area-at-carrow-road-1-5130137
More plaudits for Mario Vrančić, who sounds as if he's going to be a very useful player this season http://readnorwich.com/2017/08/02/fans-player-of-pre-season-2017/
That makes impressive reading Cromer and COULD DF have gone a long way to solving what has been our 'Achilles heel' for several seasons at the first attempt??? Time will tell and I'm more hopeful than I've been for the last 4 years. All we need is Pinto back to full fitness and we should concede fewer 'soft goals!!' This made interesting reading from the article as well - "Winning 87% of his duels, Vrancic topped the voting, whilst James Maddison came in second with 71%. Christoph Zimmermann came third with 69%." The more I read about JM, the more I think he could become a key player for us this season and so will be a target for being fouled continually, as Brighton did on Saturday!!! Let's just hope he gets SOME protection from the man in the middle.
Right. If this goes ahead, then why the F is there a FFP law!? None of these clubs ever gets punished, and noone who has cheated ever gets hit enough to effect them. It is so pointless!
MFW are running a predictions league and you can all join in! Top 6 and bottom 3 on the final day of the season required. http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...k-ahead-to-the-next-ten-months/#comment-88711
Jesus, this is insane!! Neymar pays his own buyout clause of 222M Euros?! http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40814854
Well, he pays it. It's just convenient that Qatar decide to make him some kind of ambassador for their world cup and pay him €300m euros for the privilege.
It's the law in Spanish football that the transfer fee is payable to the Spanish FA by the player leaving! The Spanish FA refused to accept the money from Neymar's lawyers so they then paid it directly to Barca
Ihenacho to Leicester is such a good move! Especially for 25M! Bargain in this obscene market. He's a natural goalscorer who will only get better with regular games!
