Evening, guys. First of all, I'd like to discuss a topic that consists of others sharing their genuine opinions with myself, and other users. I've decided to create this article seeing as my genuine intention is to ensure that I raise the awareness of task that the Glazers have managed to complete over a period of time. Although, the Glazers haven't managed to stay in the green. Also, reports have yet to emerge of the future of Glazers. Hopefully, they'll remain owners for many years to come. The Glazers have clearly fulfilled Sir Alex Ferguson's request, over the course of time that the Glazers have owned Manchester United, we've spent money that's guaranteed us silverware, and succession. Although, the sum is in the region of £100 million since the departure of Ronaldo. We've secured the signings of Nani, Anderson, De Gea, Berbatov, Da Silva twins and Carrick. A few of those names I've stated have proven they are more than capable of becoming world-class, a few are also on the verge of becoming world-class players. The likes of the Da Silva twins, Anderson, Nani and De Gea will surely be the faces of Manchester United in the near future. As I've mentioned above, the owners of Manchester United, the Glazers are incredible seeing as they are the reason to why we've won many trophies, and witnessed word-class players play for Manchester United. I'm pretty sure the majority of Manchester United fans are unaware of the fact that the Glazers have never failed to provide Sir Alex Ferguson with the capital he requires in order to purchase players he believes will succeed at Manchester United. I personally believe that Sir Alex Ferguson ensured that he secured the signings of players that would guarantee him silverware. Transfer costs within the last 5 years: Dimitar Berbatov cost £30.7 million Anderson cost £19 million Luis Nani cost £17 million Owen Hargeaves cost £18 million Ashley Young cost £16 million De Gea cost £18.4 million Now, lets make it clear. Ferguson has always expressed his admiration for the Glazers. He has even been quoted saying: "They've been great owners," he said. "They have supported me every way I've asked them". So, why are the United supporters saying, the Glazers are bad owners? I mean, come on. Ferguson in the past was never shy to express his disapproval with certain owners. It seems people don't understand Ferguson' character. When we were owned by the previous PLC, Ferguson had many battles to ensure he got the money he desired. This was clearly shown, when he wanted the money to prize away Veron from Lazio. A few years later, a power struggle emerged between, Sir Alex Ferguson Alex Ferguson, and his horse-racing partners, John Magnier and J. P. McManus, who had gradually become the majority shareholders. In a dispute that stemmed from contested ownership of the horse Rock of Gibraltar, Magnier and McManus attempted to have Ferguson removed from his position as manager, the board responded by approaching investors to attempt to reduce the Irishmen's majority. However, under the new ownership, Ferguson has been allowed to do what he pleases which has allowed the Glazers to act like sleeping owners if you like, where all the decisions are being made by the manager. It is clear Ferguson is in favor of them, so why aren't some of our fan base? To sum it up: Glazers the perfect owners!
The Glazers are so perfect, there is a club created to get away from Manchester Utd purely because they bought it . Hizmo, you are starting to become a more intelligent version of Nolhman. If somebody owned Manchester Utd, it would be a requirement to put the amount of money into the club as the Glazers have, probably more. Without the debt **** as well.
That is an insult. You are saying the same things as Nolhman, just in a mature way with capital letters and constructive sentences. Still ******ed like.
Why don't I do you guys a favour, and edit my username to nolhman? I honestly do not understand why you're so obsessed with nolhman.
That's from another forum, is it just a coincedence that nolhman is now Hizmo over there? Not that it's any big surprise, it's the worst kept secret on not606!
hizmo is nolhman with a job!! how is the hot dog stand hizmo?? Im not even joking about your job either lol
There's a difference between obsession and noticing obvious similarities between posters Hizmo. On topic it is true that the Glazers have not caused so many problems so far but it is the looming threat of the debt that unsettles people and although im not worried we would all like to be on more secure ground. I agree that the idea they will not spend is a myth, but they are far from perfect owners. (unless of course you are an opposition fan who see them as a source of hope we will unrealisticly implode in the coming years.)
Actually I think most fans' problem with the Glazers is that they have put up ticket prices by more than the plc did. The debt is a problem, but given they have boosted commercial revenue around five times faster than the plc did, most of the interest costs have been covered by increased sponsorship. I think match going fans won't be happy until ticket prices stop rising for a prolonged period of time, which is unlikely to happen whilst wages are rising so fast. They aren't perfect owners, but I can think of any in the PL that are in my opinion. Even Abramovich has reached the stage where he is holding Chelsea back with his constant demands for immediate success. Mansour and co seem to be doing all right by City so far, but the acid test will come if they start struggling to dominate the PL, which will make the temptation to interfere pretty high. And given the types of owner we could have ended up with (Ashley, Ecclestone, Venky's and H&G) I'm perfectly happy with the Glazers!
In the case of Abramovich, who can blame him for demanding instant success? He has put so much money into the club in so many different areas, I do not blame him for getting impatient! If the manager wants to buy someone, he will bid for him, because that is the sort of money that is available to him, so I would expect to win things sooner or later!
