Great interview. Can’t help but be impressed by the level of investment so far and the way he has planned it all http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05bcg1r
Certainly seems to be. Not sure he’d have gotten involved if Cellino hadn’t straightened out a lot of the mess though
As club owner, it’d be hard to be critical of him. He’s delivered in every way possible so far. A couple of back to back wins would kick start the playing side of the season nicely
Was it circa £50m for the club, then paid off GFH, then spent another £20m buying back ER, spent cash refurbishing ER, £20m so far on players for the first team plus (9) plus 12 players for the U23 squad some of who are out on loan to sister club. Deep pockets, luv the guy & seems to do things correctly and with sense, so some having ago at him is a disgrace. Remember when a local prospective buyer and fan said it would cost him half of his families inheritance to do what needed doing and he wasnt willing to gamble it. That was £150m of his reputed £300m, so Radz is close to it
Sounds about right Doc. Also didn’t sound like he was anywhere near finished the spending. The media must really hate this guy though. Zero skeletons it seems Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
A very positive interview and has put money where his mouth is, everyone has to support and recognise what he has done so far.
No court cases no ****e from the football league no sackings all quiet on the western front its a good start mukka
This isn't a moan but I think there's people backing him. He might have put a wedge in but I wouldn't be surprised if there is Qatar money involved here as well.
bottom line ... owner who has committed £100m so far rather than take it out, and who has stated he is here for good ... a squad that is improving all the time ... we have our ground back compared to the last decade of Bates, Cellino, Hockaday, Warnock and Evans we have every reason to be optimistic, because we now KNOW that Leeds United is a club on its way back to the Prem ... under the previous regimes we hoped, but deep down we knew there was no real chance ... now we believe, and we know that Radz's INTENT is to get to the Prem and establish Leeds United as a true force in Europe again ... because there is intent, it will happen there is no Qatari money involved here, this is all Radz ... yes, he will expect a return like any good businessman, but he will re-invest that into the club to make it even better ... he is switched on, and he knows that as the owner of one of the big clubs in Europe that is successful, his other companies will benefit ... Radz knows what he's doing it may well be that when we are back in the Prem some Qatari money buys into the club, and then we'll be talking £300m being spent on players in a transfer window ... for now, Radz is doing the business, and very professionally Mighty, respect for your comments, you as a GENUINE football fan gets it ... I can never imagine you in front of the telly with a Scum shirt on Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Just had to like nearly every post, seems like a top bloke, genuine, committed, willing to put his money where his mouth is and in it for the long haul. Just hope the moaners remember when we have a few setbacks on the pitch. MOT Mr Radz SIR!
I think it’ll take a half dozen games to even figure out our best squad with players settling into the club, country, learning the language and English game, not to mention the cauldron that is Elland Road etc. It’s so important we don’t lose touch during that period Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Even our resident miserable grumpy bollox has stayed away from this thread so Radz must be doing something right
