QUOTE QPR training pitch aggravates Hall injury, says Holloway By David McIntyre 01/08/2017 Ian Holloway believes the condition of the pitches at QPR’s training ground has contributed to Grant Hall’s injury problems. Hall has been struggling with tendonitis and manager Holloway says the hard surface at Rangers’ Harlington base, which is owned by Imperial College, is having an adverse affect. “It’s our training pitch, which is very, very firm and it’s not helped with this,” Holloway said. “It’s the amount of water that we can put on that pitch that isn’t enough, so it’s ongoing issues. The training ground isn’t ours, so we’re looking into that.” ‘Absolutely gutted’ Hall is set to miss Saturday’s opening-day game at home to Reading along with Jordan Cousins, who has another hamstring injury. “There’s always somebody in your squad who’s not fit, suspended or injured,” Holloway said. “Grant is important for us, with his ability at the back and to step forward with the ball. You only have to look at our stats last season to see we struggled to get results without him. “Jordan I am absolutely gutted for. I have never seen such an unbelievable athlete in my life. “We sent him away at the end of last year. He was having some issues; it was his thigh and then his hamstring. There must be something that we’ve got to try and look at, because he’s got a tear in his hamstring this time. “It’s nothing to do with the work we’ve done. It must be something to do with him. “He still feels upbeat about it. He feels better and much more positive. We haven’t seen the best of him yet and we might have to wait a few weeks before we do.” UNQUOTE If Holloway hasn't in his whole life seen such an unbelievable athlete as Jordan Cousins, may I suggest he gets out more.
The transfer to sum up everything that is wrong with top flight football......Neymar to PSG from Barcelona for €222m (stg£198m), fecking ridiculous, greed, greed, greed......
I see the false hoops have bid £10 million for Nahki Wells. Even the Championship is getting ridiculous now..
Dear Tone This is how you get around FFP........ please log in to view this image There really is no end to the obscene amounts of money being paid. I read the other day that this Neymar chap wanted negotiations with PSG to be put on hold until after 31st July because on that date his father (agent) was due to receive €26m in commission for his role in getting his son to sign a contract extension with Barcelona last year......... BTW the above was picked up from LFW's......
That ain't the half of it, since 2013 Barcelona have paid Neymar's father more than they've paid Messi. I honestly don't think Neymar has been as good as either Messi, Suarez or Ronaldo in that period...
****BREAKING NEWS**** Neymar has had an eleventh hour change of heart over his transfer to PSG, instead he has opted for a move to his boyhood idols Queens Park Rangers. A spokesman for Neymar has issued a statement to say that he is absolutely thrilled to be moving to Loftus Road and can't wait to get out on the pitch against Reading on Saturday. Playing for his beloved Hoops has been a dream since he could first kick a ball. Barcelona have agreed with QPR that the £198m fee can be repaid over 198 million years at £1 per year. Neymar, still in disbelief that he has managed to fulfill his dream has agreed a 10 year deal with QPR, and accepting the financial restraints at Loftus Road has signed a deal that will see him earn 78p a week.
The only player movements that can currently be reported on here thus far are the sort of bodily movements we'd rather not talk about
QPR manager Ian 'Ollie' Holloway has said that Neymar won't actually be in the team for a few months until his command of the language used by coaches at QPR has improved to the level that he can understand the instructions issued by the management team. All members of the squad, including native English speakers, are currently taking intensive tuition in the obscure dialect of Bristolian Unwinese.
QPR manager Ian 'Ollie' Holloway has said of Neymar "I've looking to strengthen the left back position for months now and have finally landed my man" With Neymar left back and Smith and Mackie up front I see us challenging for a top 6 spot
