I can still see Van Dijk leaving. His stance is toxic and makes it impossible to do much else. Least Bertrand accepted it and got on with it

 

But did your company pay for/cover the costs of all your treatment and recuperation, as in private care, or did you use the NHS or fund private care for yourself?

If your care wasn't funded by your employer, then there is, imo, a massive difference between your situation and that of VVD.
I have no qualms with him being paid, whilst recovering from an injury suffered during his employment, but my sense of fair play says he should not agitate to leave, immediately after we have returned him to fitness.

Now, should he move on to Liverpool, maybe we can add a bit more on to cover the cost of repairing him.

 

You wouldn't get as much for broken goods so it's in your interest to repair him.
