    so they're rushing a deal for a player we dont need, yet they have been stalling over getting a striker needed since January and getting a decent left back?!?.

    The goalkeeping department is the least area we should be looking to add..

    FFS get a LB AND ST NOW! With every hour gone, every day gone.. Saturday will come and they'll be no new LB.. Gaylor it will be then.. <doh>

    i know you lot don't want a goalkeeper but...

    Elliot is absolutely quality. He has been incredibly consistent down at the valley and is an incredibly good shot stopper. He will, without doubt, perform at a higher level

    I will be gutted if he leaves as he is a fan's favourite, he supports charlton and is a great asset to the team.

    So we're working really hard to get in somebody to sit on the bench on Saturday yet we are making half-hearted attempts to sign left-backs and strikers that we definetely need! MADNESS!

    I bet he cant even speak French!

    Sounds like a good signing, maybe Pardew isn't as happy with Krul as a lot of people on here, let's face it he's not the best at crosses. As someone else said, we can work on more than one signing at a time, look at all the young French lads like Situ and Remy playing for us today (http://www.nufc.co.uk/page/Match/Report/ReservesReport/0,,10278~2423323,00.html) and the fact that Marveaux and Vuckic and Abeid seem to be doing so well too at the moment.

    Don't see all the fuss really. We need 3 keepers in case one gets injured. Forster has just gone on loan as he was not happy just sitting on the bench which is fair enough so we have got a cheap replacement who looks a fairly good prospect. As people have said you can do more than transfer at a time and I'm sure its easier dealing with Charlton than the European clubs because of the language barrier and a smaller transfer fee involved. Harper is getting on a bit and maybe he's getting a few little injuries here and there. They will bring a left back in, its better to be patient and get the right player at the right price rather than none at all. We replaced Routledge with Obertan so Enrique will be replaced!

    we didnt last season when we did the exact same thing, what's so different?

    It's very unlikely that both Krul and Harper would be injured simultaneously, and even if they were we could stick one of the younguns on for half a match and then get in an emergency loan , or recall Forster (or in the case of one of Krul/Harper regaining fitness quickly - not bother).
