still look short in midfield like this. One injury and who plays? Same goes for the pace up front. We still need 3 players for our coming season imo.
I'd love a top class finisher with Pace but I doubt that'll be a priority for us. Klopp prefers speedy players who can play anywhere in the front 3. Right now, we have a number of players who can play there. If we lost one of Salah and or Mane we'd be light.....so up front, that's were I'd recruit. Plus a CM and a CB

We all need about 4 signings to compete. We were throwing on Flanagan, Kent, Woodburn v Bayer who were throwing on Vidal and Santos etc. There s not an English club that's got a complete squad like these dominant European teams. We sent on the assassin too.
2 of those held their own though, esp kent. Flanagan was the only one I wasn't impressed by, but could just be rusty hopefully.
yeah but throw them in at start not a game lost and what happens? kent has to prove himself like grujic does to step up and force the manager not to buy.... solanke the same. its not a bad situation with TAA and woobrun is it but either we say right i n12 months we will be fine and this year we scrap league cup and let these guys play in it etc or we go buy players. The real bread and butter is the league, would they be relied on in 10 games? TAA would... too soon for woodburn, kent.. dunno about solanke and grujic.. they might do ok.
So who plays tiday Some lads did almost a full 90 there. Taa cannot surely 80mins Lovren played the whole game Kariis played the whole game Moreno... Mane is only back after injury too. It really is a bit of a mad set up isnt it. Surely to have s better cup theyd play weekend and midweek not two midweek
Bit harsh on the young lads there mito. Game wasn't lost when they came on as only 2-0. I get what you are saying, but bayern was still pushing and they did OK. They played against one of the top 3 teams in europe.
Robinson is the first obvious. Migs OK to play? Probably see ings if OK to play as Firmino didn't do much.
Me either dribs. Was the goalies vision blocked by an offside player? Couldn't see it at the time but only thing that would make sense.
It should be lads who haven't played too much. It's pre season after all and doesn't really mean bugger all in the big picture. There is no doubt that Klopps training regime see us play well and hit the ground running early in the season which is good with the 2 extra gsmes in the CL play off round coming up. As king-kenny said, my concern is that we don't run out of steam later in the season. It's a long gruelling season in the PL allied with the extra cup competition and no winter break. Add in the CL hopefully and klopp may need to make adjustments to maintain the freshness. I'd want to see kids playing in the League cup. The squad is still too thin to not do. Also try to put some games away earlier and go into cruise control for half a game. Title winners do this and we need more game control at times. Old red nose always aimed for his teams to peak in march/april. We seem to be hanging on in that period at times. Jurgen seems like a smart cookie so hopefully he will be on the case.
