They're glorified scouting roles. He'll be identifying players and the CEO and Chairman will be the ones doing the negotiation and bringing them in. I can guarantee that Ehab will be the one working behind our transfers.
Leonid's still not sounding all that happy (though he confirms that Ehab's told him no more sales)... http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05b8r0l
I must be missing something here.... a head of recruitment that doesn't recruit?? Shouldn't that be head of analysing and scouting then??
This is getting a bit daft, Burnley and Hull City quite obviously appointed a Head of Recruitment to be in charge of recruiting players.
Identifying players for boy wonder to try and attempt to bring in. Does anyone seriously think Ehab and Papa would let anyone else do the negotiations?
Yes, I think Ehab putting someone between him and the people he's negotiating with, is exactly why he was appointed.
His point was that he's a scout by trade, a position that has nothing to do with getting players to sign contracts. His job now is to identify players, have them scouted and get them in. In fact, it was mooted that LD's appointment would mean Ehab wouldn't need to get involved in signing players, it was Ehab's idea to bring him in.
Can't see either of the Allams allowing that. They are complete control freaks and it's probably the most important off-field period each season. They will still want to protect their investment (Loan)
Interesting listening I think he like the rest of us is still doubting the supermarkets closed. He is a lot more positive than me a squad for promotion.... a few holes to be filled before I agree with that.
Nobody is saying that because we don't hear about it, then nothing is happening I can't listen at the minute, could you give a little summary? Is it more of the same? We're trying hard, transfers are difficult and nobody in before Villa? Or is there some new stuff in there?
I hoped this would be the case but I just don't see it. He loves the media attention and the bullshit, I can't imagine Ehab taking his hands off at all.
"Are you confident of adding to the squad before Villa" "Yes. We have a good core (lists players), some young players (lists players)..." Hmm, not really what he asked though. He said talks are continuing and might be done before Friday, but he followed it up with the "later in the window" comment. Interesting.
That was from a reply were I said **** it and didn't complete it. It doesn't fully reflect what I was going to say.
Just followed a Bentley car being driven like a boy racer would with reg plate G20 MAW ... Marc Wilson maybe ?
I believe it was to give him more time at Allam Marine, which by all accounts isn't doing so well (at least not as well as it was). So God help them.
