That's utter bollocks. Stewart was leaving the Liverpool camp because deal was agreed, it was all but done. Frazier was all but done when it broke Mazuch was when he rocked up on trial completely out of the blue Aina, we first heard from a Nigerian football site, but always seemed plausible. Hector was when he was viewing an apartment in Hull, so that was done. By the time we found out they were all pretty much done, apart from maybe Aina.
Or, be rational and think about the situation we are in. Smaller budget means finer margins for failure. All it takes is one other club to jump in and offer a higher contract or a bigger transfer fee and we've missed out. So naturally, fans want us to do everything out in the open so that we can be stifled. That makes perfect sense. But by all means, continue being an arse.
If you think we're doing nothing based on anything other than a lack of activity from our lying, idiotic owners (what a cracking, universal track record they have, by the way) then you would be right.[/QUOTE]
Also Lee has generally been a chief scout, he recommends players, he wasn't sacked because he failed to bring players in. It's not his job.
We also had McLaughlin on trial, we didn't know that until we saw him in the photos training. I'm surprised there wasn't a huge media build up to it, breaking news on SSN and at least 10 articles on Newsnow, everybody knows that's how it works.
Why the smaller budget? we should be one of the richer clubs more able to buy better players now we have offloaded some of our premier League players plus we have the parachute payments. I bet there are loads of championship teams who wish they were in our financial position.
That's not what we were talking about though. GLP was saying that he's been sacked in the past for not bringing players in. But he was generally chief scout so that's not his job. His current role wasn't mentioned.
really not buying it as lots have already sealed loan deals, fact of it is weve had two months to sort a leftback, heck ehab even identified some and weve failed, all too expensive id say obita too expensive, shotton outbid by boro, henry too expensive so we bumble onto last minute options like the kid from swansea who ehab probably wants yo pay %5 of his wage and give them a freddo as.a loan fee
Based on the Allam's previous spending in the Championship. If we had a bigger budget, do you not think we'd have spent considerably more than we have done? We might have more money in the bank/our owners pocket, but that doesn't translate to a playing budget.
Really? It's just the semantics of a job title. He was very much in charge of recruiting at Burnley and Norwich.
If you say so. I also know that we're active as we're bringing at least 1 more from Chelsea but possibly too. And I'm fairly sure who one is (it's what I've been told anyway)
The ones who have been loaned out or sold are the ones who the clubs already knew wouldn't be playing this season. Chelsea have a training camp full of players they're going to loan out, they took the others with them abroad. Ones like Kent have been away and the clubs will be making a judgement on whether to send them or not. Plus the players might have a few options, which would slow things down. Boro haven't outbid us for Shotton have they? They had a bid rejected, much like we have.
I'm reliably informed that the fax machine was given its marching orders after the January Salibur fiasco. Not sure whether a replacement has been sought.
