British made jeans will cost you at least £120-150 and I can't command that sort of price tag.

And barely anyone who works in British clothing factories is actually British anyway, I used to make all my jeans in Preston (where there were a dozen jean factories up until about ten years ago, none left now) and they were all owned by Pakistani families.

Unlike my sweeping brushes, of all sizes. They are still made in Sheffield, Yorkshire by a Sheffield born, whippet owning family, who support Wednesday and Yorkshire CCC. They are brought to me in a British made van driven by a Blades fan from Sheffield.

Fair question, for many grounds behind the posts is the most popular like Saints, Wigan, Salford, Castleford and Wakefield, for others the ground configuration doesn't lend itself to it like at Warrington, Rovers and Leeds. For some reason people like to gather behind the posts at Wembley, probably due to the second reason in my previous post.

Its hardly ironic, posting on a thread that's clearly marked off topic is quite different to deliberately derailing an off topic thread for the sake of it.

As you said plenty of choice, but buyers need to be aware that things are not always the same as they once were. I hope my new Dr Martins that were made in China turn out to be as good as the ones I was buying in the past ( the price is the same ) TWT

You can still get Made in England Doc's, they're just much more expensive.

    Take your pick.

This is a 'Well done Hull FC' thread, its blatantly obvious to even the most academically challenged amongst us that its sole purpose is for congratulating one of our local teams on their recent success.

Any crap about the merits of RL, attendances, media bias, nasty RL fans from 30 years ago...etc is a deliberate attempt to those up who want to use this thread for its intended purpose.

As its been suggested before, create a new 'We hate Hull FC' thread for that bollocks, most people aren't interested in reading it here.

I know it's your business so it's likely we will never agree but that sort of highlights my point. A big well known brand starts getting its stuff made in a cheaper location and yet sells it stuff as premium product and premium price, of course they tell you about the material being the same and made to our exacting standards under strict quality control, and then because they know people have doubts about the stuff they still make some in the original location and sell that for a premium plus price.

Just to say I have 2 or 3 real examples of the rag trade which opened my eyes as to what goes on in some places and the same things go on in my line of work, machines and engineering.

But the 'I hate Hull FC because some of their fans were a bit mean to me at school' posts are more relevant than the ones about jeans

Obviously a lot of people think you can post anything at all in an 'off-topic' thread

I agree, the jean talk is ridiculous too but that's not people trying to wind others up, its just an odd detour from the original topic.

Whilst its obviously unrealistic to expect all threads to remain on topic, what people don't enjoy is those that have no interest in a particular subject to come on and deliberately try and wind people up that do, its boring, attention seeking and in all honestly makes them look a little lonely.

Nearly every single thread drifts off topic.
Sometimes it makes it more funny, other times its irritating but it generally gets back on topic.

Our chubby league hordes were once denim clad but now seem to favour nylon so yes jean talk does seem ridiculous.

    Afraid not.

In fact, if anyone else does want any of those sale jeans, do it quick, as I've just sold them all and they'll be coming offline shortly.

Sorry bud, I'm going to come clean and admit I'm going through some really tough times at the moment so I've been flying off the handle at anyone that I can.

I'm chilled out now, but I still don't understand the quarrel with FC. It's not a sport thing, otherwise we'd hear the same about KR on here. It seems to me it all stems from bitterness. Some of us need to get over this as their thoughts change nothing.

Hull and proud, City and FC... and I suppose KR as well now and again ;)

Right, so for every MotM thread from now on we should have a thread for each player just in case people disagree about how well somebody did.

A ridiculous suggestion, nearly as ridiculous as someone saying 'I don't think it is well done' on this particular thread.
