    That's simply not true, there has never been so much choice in jeans, you can get any fit in any quality, you just have to pay for the decent stuff.

    They're all pre-shrunk (even the Raw ones) and the seams stay where they're supposed to.

    Making do and mend - four words to guarantee you looked like a Herbert, I remember those days well, socks and the elbows of jumpers darned with wool of any colour, ditto the knees of your jeans and your favourite, the dark blue turn downs. Can you imagine today's kids dressing like we did?

    A lot of the stuff made in Romania is made by Italian companies, using Italian fabrics.

    In fact, half the stuff with Made In Italy labels in them, is actually made in Romania and just finished and packed in Italy.

    Exactly the same with a lot of meat, fruit and veg in supermarkets. People think they're buying British and supporting British farmers but often they're not.

    Things are much stricter here than they are in other countries, the Italians turn a blind eye to stuff coming from Romania and having Made in Italy labels added, just as the French are with the stuff that's made in Morocco and Tunisia and labelled Made In France, but it's much harder to get away with it here (in fact, I'm not aware of anyone who does it).

    i know with food it's not 'getting away with it', they can make a label scream it's from Britain but it doesn't mean it is and it's perfectly legal to do so. Another interesting and relatively new practice is the big supermarkets branding their chicken with an idyllic looking label with an attractive farm name, yet the farm doesn't even exist and the whole concept was made up by the branding teams to make the public believe their chickens had a pleasant life.

    No, but they have a lot of dense fans who queue when it Isn't necessary.

    Seems like there is a City fan inn the middle of the picture who won't be watching us play Bolton Wanderers.
