I would never take it as any kind of indicator for PL but it is a little embarrassing the ease with which City are cutting through them. Both teams are more or less full strength too.
You said the players werent suited to his play. So he tried to enforce his 'style' on players who werent suitable. So rather than try train people up to be suitable hes just decided to buy the best in the positions. Great coaching. Might as well just call him mourinho mark 2. At least jose did it with a **** porto underdog side and with an unfancied inter
Just watched City v Spurs, City look frightening (or Spurs **** not sure which), their midfield and attack link-up was so fast and accurate they tore Spurs to little pieces then shredded the little pieces. Stones needs to empty his pockets before the flight home because if he leaves Kane in there the Yanks will have him for people trafficking.
It would be funny if Toby left on a contract wrangle: http://www.skysports.com/football/n...d-says-no-news-on-tottenham-contract-position
Wonder how much Sevilla's squad cost in comparison to Arsenal's. Probably little more than the transfer fee Arsenal paid for Lacazette. I bet Sevilla's cost less than all the PL teams except Brighton, Huddersfield, Burnley and Swansea. So it seems that only EPL teams are forking out the huge transfer fees aside Real M, Barca, PSG, Bayern, and possibly Juve and AC.
The Neymar transfer is crazy according to reports, Qatar is going to pay Neymar a marketing fee for its World Cup. Neymar will use the money to buy himself out of his contract and join PSG for free, avoiding any FFP problems.
Its the knock on effect that could potentially make this window even more mental. Barca will be able to get virtually anyone they want with the £197m + whatever money they want to throw into it, sending large amounts of cash to other teams who in turn spend aswell, will make the last month of the window pretty mental. Read somewhere they could potentially go for Dybala and Griezmann.
So far Griezmann has shown a great deal of integrity by saying he won't leave Atleti whilst they are under a transfer ban (until Jan 18), it will be interesting to see his reaction if Barca come calling.
Now you know that Liverpool would never stand in the way of a player following his dream, so very unkind to mock.
Read that the other day, what part of that is fair play though? To me it makes no difference who pays the money , its still ridiculous.
The official wording for release clauses in Spain is that a player can pay a fee to buy themselves out of a contract. Usually a club just pays it but it can be that the player stumps the money up themselves. As technically the money is coming directly from Neymar and not from PSG then it is not a breach of FFP. It is a loophole, but one perfectly legal to exploit
