I tend to like alot of what you post sterling, agree with most of it too, ive got to disagree abit with the second paragraph though, i think ehab would lie in interviews and has done, i think the "weve done groundwork and identified target" interview straight after marco silva had given publicity to the fact preparation was a shambles, was a lie, no way has ehab gone out and identified anybody, he gave that interview to save face, il admit to reading inbetween the lines, but the chain of events leading up to where were currently at including the drawn out saga of appointing a head of recruitment and the further appointment of a head scout tells me weve stumbled through this pre season unprepared, those two appointments should of been made alot sooner than they were, i also dont get if we identified targets so long ago and identifying them should of included research into if they fit within our budget, why were still without a leftback in the squad and are sparse in other areas, weve seen players that would of been within our budget join argubally smaller clubs than us. I honestly think ehabs treating city with an unprofessional lack of effort, while recouping what he can, id like to be more positive but each decsion along the way just seems like a bumbling clueless effort, fingers crossed though your postivity is right
You strongly think but have nothing to base it on. Mebbe it's how you posted quite a few posts but it came across very ITK.
Don't forget Hull City's footballing philosophy Hutch... And you're being far too kind.... in a nutshell 'he's a ****'...
Things that are happening around the club And the fact we had buyers lined up with deals agreed to buy us had we stayed up We will see
It's been well reported there were 3 deals agreed to buy us One fell by the wayside when he got arrested the other 2 were still agreed It wouldn't surprise me if at least one or both have been renegotiated at different terms now Probably why we're not spending a fortune on players and why the Allams are taking loans out on future tv monies That's my take We will see
For what it's worth, I think the Allams are rolling the dice. They want out with a decent return. Hoping that, by spending as little as they can on recruitment, selling our best/most experienced players and icing back the parachute payments , such a strategy will not lead to relegation. In their eyes, if this works for the next two seasons, they may well recoup all of the debt they have in the club, yet still give them the "interest return" on their investment. A fluky promotion would obviously sweeten the pot, and give them an even longer time-frame to boost their profits. Two seasons from now, using this strategy, they may well be ahead of the game if they are still in the 2nd tier. Sell the club at that point ( 10 or 15 million quid, whatever), would be gravy, or at least give them a decent return on their investment over their tenure. They may well be in deep **** if we are relegated...they'd need to hang around for a lot longer to get their investment out - if ever. That's the dice rolling bit. It will not be much fun for our supporters battling relegation survival for the next couple of years.
They don't need to they have taken loans out to get that money now And it's 2 years I think as we came straight back down had we have had another season in prem and then come down we would had 3 as far as I'm aware
This is exactly what is happening. This is what they planned to do even last year in the Premier League and Bruce knew hence why he left. Soon as the club wasn't sold (let's be honest it never was going to meet their valuation) they are in assset stripping mode by making money one way or the other.
Dawson must start and sure he will. Mannion Evandro and Meyler wont all make it. Max Clarke will defo be in squad imo.
We need slutsky to galvanise what we have, and hope we have luck with injurys, hopefully slutsky and the two recruitment guys can find some bargains along the way
I'm not so sure that they had worked that out before last season. Why bring in Silva and spunk out on all those loans in the mid-season window ? Unless of course they had a temporary change of heart, or Ehab's new-found control of the club as a result of father's illness shifted the focus ?
You answered the question yourself. Selling biggest assets then replacing with loans and then bringing in a management team on 6 month contracts (effectively loans) said it all. Was hedging his bets. but no long term investment. It was very clear what his plan was then.
I dont like campbell but Just get a feeling if he plays he will do a job . .no logic.....Just a gut feeling. And boy do i have a gut
