Comm, Jerry & a few folk off Syd's site met up over the weekend for a bite to eat & a few drinks. They got in the Italian restaurant next to the Roker. Used to be the Gluepot bar. A couple of them mentioned it as I have to Jerry before. Just got me thinking. How many of our paths must have crossed in the past without knowing it. It was always my pre match haunt.
I've been thinking just the same recently down here. Sunderlad lives in Bedford. I live in a village just 5 minutes away. Norton lives 20-odd minutes away, in Letchworth I think. I've seen a Shefford lad posting as well. I think he's a QPR fan. 5 or 6 miles south. Our local team I guess is MK Dons. Lovely little stadium and me and my lads will see a few games this season. Hoping to meet up with Sunderlad when he takes his lads to see a game there.
I used to work with a lad who was a massive Wimbledon fan. Followed them all over the country. He ****ing hated MK Dons with a passion.
So did I. He was a shareholder in Wimbledon so me telling him how good the Dons are doing never goes down well. **** it. Get over it! Life's too short!
My uncle was on the board 60s70s He was asked to invest in the late 70s. But thought it a risk there were a southern league club. The rest is history
I suppose on match day several of us on here will be sitting near to each other at the stadium, within spitting distance probably. Not that I'd advise that, we're not Everton fans.
