As someone who does not really enjoy motor sports, I was watching an interview with the guy in charge of the British F1 and he was saying that they lose around 5 million a year and that will only get bigger. Do you think the days of the British GP are almost over?
As one who also finds 4 wheel, and specifically open wheel [as in F1] car racing fairly uninteresting, I thought I'd bring a 4 wheel sport that is interesting. It's a sport because American millionaires like Craig Breedlove make it so. I'm talking about Land Speed Records and the sport of making cars go faster and faster. This is a documentary written and presented by Chris Harris, of Top Gear, before he went there, and it's the quality of it that I reckon made the BBC decide that he was what they were looking for. I've seen a few videos written and presented by Chris Harris on Youtube, and he certainly knows his stuff. In this video i think he does his best work. He really connects the viewer to the technology behind Bloodhound SSC. You also see the totally unflappable pilot and world record holder Andy Green:
Just going to settle down in front of the F1. Can't see past a Vettel win here but you never know, first couple of laps could be interesting.
Feel sorry for Riccardo, seems a bit harsh on Max as it wasn't really intentional but need to be more careful in that situation imo. Hell of a talent, but still pretty raw.
Ye gods, Verstappen is flying. If not for that moment of madness on lap one, he might well be scrapping for the lead.
Ah, Hungary...where you can have the top four in a line for 30 laps and still have it be desperately boring. Edit: Fernando Alonso, fastest lap of the race!?
I'm not sure about that decision. They let Hamilton through because he was quicker than Bottas - fair enough, but that reversing of it again at the end could hurt Hamiltons title challenge. Bottas was nowhere near him. Odd
