Nil Nil so far, looking pretty tidy at times on the ball, probably even stevens chances wise, Connor has had a couple of good opportunities. Scowen looks lIke he has potential to be a favourite. Luongo has looked good, Ned's been solid., Robinson hasn't gone off injured yet so not a bad start.
0-1 at half time. Smith looks a stone overweight. Ned has been the only defender putting in a shift, Freeman best by some distance so far and Washington is willing but not getting any service. We look a yard and a half slow over the pitch...
My browser crashed at half time, I can't log back in, when I do it tells me to log in ??? Honestly I cleared my whole afternoon to get to watch this as I couldn't make it to the ground.
So many subs made, Goss playing at the back, what can this possibly tell us? he might as well not play if he's going to be chucked on as an auxillary centre back.
To be fair I thought we looked sharper after the subs. Sylla was a good target and held the ball well, Manning was a willing runner, and Mackie put in his usual energetic, if slightly aimless shift. Very unlucky with the free kick at the end, hitting post and keeper but somehow not going in. MOM was undoubtedly Mings for them, he was excellent throughout, with prob Freeman our best player overall.
Really good. When he came back out at half time he was dancing for the cameras. Big smile on his face all the time.

An emotional occasion, slightly spoiled by the football match. Stan looked like he was loving the whole thing, even dancing a little jig as he was accompanied around the ground to a loving reception from a somewhat disappointing crowd. Hopefully there were a lot of virtual sales. As to the game, I went with all the optimism of a new season - daft I know. I was of course disappointed, as we seem every bit as bad as we were at the end of last season. We were slightly better in the second half, with the woeful Smith having been withdrawn. Sylla and Mackie looked like they might make something happen up top, and Borysiuk looked effective in the centre, whilst Goss bewilderingly came on to play centre-back. It's going to be a long season.
A crowd of nearly 10,000 is not bad when you consider they wont get many more than that during the season.
