Of the comments made by Bates about Leeds Utd supporters, who have staged recent protests against his ownership and running of the football club. Specific comments relating to him saving the club in 2005 & 2007, have been passed on, due to him informing the Football League that he wasn't connected with Forward Sports Fund, the company that bought the club in 2007. If it is found he deliberately lied to the Football League, he will be classed as "not fit" to run the club and will need to remove himself from the board. Further personal fines will also follow. Legal moves have already commenced to make sure no personal fines are paid by the club, and all costs are paid by Bates himself.

The Fit and Proper rule is basically a load of bollocks, that's why Peter Ridsdale can move from club to club and KB can do what he wants with our great club.
There is a huge difference between Bates and Ridsdale. Ridsdale was just not very good at business and got into things well over his own capabilities, this wasn't helped by supporters enjoying the ride without asking the right questions, and the outcome was inevitable, Bates is simply not fit to run anything, his mental health has to be called into question and calling your own clubs supporters "morons" will not help the situation. Like anything that has responsibilities and accountabilities, if your not fit (health) to do the job, you need to be removed.
Yawn at the tedious 'yawn' routine. If it's so boring, why comment? I doubt they'll class him as mentally ill and therefore unfit to run the club, even if he is showing signs of being unstable.

You know what has anyone stopped and thought for one second that Bates is actually a very clever man and is running our football club smartly? I would love to see Grayson go out and spend a million on a Centre Back but in these times he is doing everything he can and bending every rule he can to keep us moving in the right direction albeit slower than we would like! I am actually starting to be more positive about him he just needs to watch his words about hardworking paying customers
Six and a half years of Premiership prices and second (then third) division football. It's not slower than we would like, it's slower than should be considered even vaguely acceptable by Leeds United fans considering how much we pour into United's coffers. And no, he's not running the club smartly because he's chucked millions away on an unprofitable Beeston Village scheme, on his lawyer mates, on court cases and on Yorkshire Radio. Millions which any Football League chairman with an inkling of sense or decency would have put into what the supporters who cough up the lion's share of that money want to see it spent on... players, as well as the repurchases of Elland Road and Thorp Arch. It's a disgrace that his propaganda can still convince people. Any other chairman would have done a better job, I'm convinced of that.
