Almost to much racing on today so decided just to focus on Ascot. The one horse that jumped off the page is Royal Associate in lucky last for the inform Charlie Appelby yard.Won well on debut and given a workable mark here and should be hard to beat at 7/2.The 3.00 is a minefield with 27 runners going to post but I do think that Viscount Barfield has decent ew claims at 12/1 following a recent listed win at Chester.
You can easily see how the public in general think racing is crooked. For me - I can get ANYTHING beaten!
Flat racing, you can fek right off, I hate you! Oh wait .... it's Goodwood next week. Right. After next week, you can fek right off! Bye all
Nah, and I posted that after he won I don't miss the betting at all to be honest. Just watched Enable romp home and it didn't bother me a jot that I hadn't backed her. Got goose pimples all the same
Royal Associate just about gets up for the win, thought Buick went to early there but battled on well to win.Looking ahead to next week at Galway the King of Ballybrit Dermott Weld is having a terrible season and there is talk of a virus in the yard so I'll be taking on his shorties. The speckled one in great form with four winners the Curragh today and Ger Lyons will also be a trainer I'll be siding with.Tips will be flying around which can be more annoying than anything!!
Going to have a have a wee flutter on Artic Flower in 8.00 at Lingers.Won over c&d lto and only up 2lb so 7/2 seems a fair price.
Nice on Ste - that's efficient punting 2/2 - didn't put the mockers on either by punting myself but good to see the form continue. Interesting to know Weld yard not in good shape for next week and I'm sure there will be value to be had elsewhere as a result. AOB, JOB, Lyons and Harrington to be followed but with Galway you never know what 'local' nags have been plotted all year for this week Good luck next week anyway.
