It can be played with either and we've played the majority of pre season with wingers, it's pretty obvious the gaffer favours wingers
Bruce doesn't have a plan A - he picks the team out of a hat - if they go into the lead he pulls all the attackers off - if they start losing, he takes all the defenders off and goes all out attack - the only caveats to the 'out of a hat' system he always hand picks a goalkeeper and he always picks his son - that's all the Slut needs to know for his team talk
Yes indeed has nobody heard of poetic license? Linking a current news story to wishing ill of little dick's new toys.
Admirable if true. Would also be great to think that some of our local youngster’s display such mettle towards temptation in the future, instead of just buggering off for more money.
Yeah he's ****ing clueless ain't he. I mean who would want a manager that gets you into the Premier league twice,FA Cup final Europe I mean that's just totally crap ****e management ain't it.
Not sure why people think the Allams would sell, regardless of league if they can see they can make a profit out of being owners. I only think they'll sell if someone offers silly money, or if we sink further down the leagues, thus making them less money. Only problem with that is that someone would be far less likely to buy us from league 2 and we'd likely end up back where we were before the Allams bought us.
Ask yourself the following questions (apologies that these may be as loaded as the name change question)? 1. Why did the Allams buy the club? a) They wanted to give a gift to the people of Hull. b) They saw a chance to make money out of it, either as a successful premier league team, a chance to obtain assets below market value or as an opportunity for a real estate investment. They failed to obtain the stadium or West park, falling out with the council in the process. I remember Assem moaning about how much Bruce was costing. No matter, they managed to get the team promoted back to the top flight and secure all the potential riches that entails. Cue £100m of debt (although £30m of that was the purchase of the club in the first place) A bit of yo-yo and a victory against the world's biggest club and more untold riches are within reach. Another disillusioned manager leaves, a team resembling a patchwork quilt is assembled on a shoestring. A Hail Mary is thrown in January but comes up short. So we come to today. The club is back where it was when it was bought, with a squad strength similar to that inherited by Nigel Pearson. The club debt is now much higher but there is also £100m of parachute payments. The money will just about cover your debts. 2. What do you do? a) see that, with such a small squad, this is the perfect time to rebuild the squad. New management can build a team/squad in their own style. You trust them with the money to reinvest well and get you promoted (against 23 other teams, more than 2 of which are spending more than sensibly - **** or bust). b) try and play the percentages. Reinvest some money sensibly to give yourselves a chance at promotion without risking the long term solvency of the club. With a or b, if you achieve promotion do you sell the club or rinse and repeat? c) sell everything not nailed down. Cut expenses to the bone and extract every last penny. With c), do you sell for peanuts or rinse and repeat?
Theyre business people and are running it as a business not as a football club owned by football supporters They dont have the passon about the club that we have, they see figures on a spread sheet
Good stuff. Allams will ditch the club when the parachute payments run out and the chance to extract money ceases. Doubt Ehab is willing (nor able) to run a tight ship Championship side at a profit without those payments.
If we add a left back before Villa we can put out a decent team. 4-3-3 with a very good attacking lineup. Grosicki Campbell Hernandez Clucas Stewart Henriksen ? Mazuch Dawson Aina McGregor Could swap Grosicki with Hernandez depending on how we're going to play. For me though we definitely need to buy a left back before Villa. We can get the 2nd left back on loan before the window shuts but there's no reason why we shouldnt be buying a left back after letting 2 leave. Depending on what formation Leo wants to use, we have an ok starting 11...
