He's too expensive, his attitude needs work and there's just too much speculation, will he won't he will he won't he come to Spurs? Arsenal and Chelsea are interested, just no.
I can't help but feel that there's some 'old Spurs' thinking at play. Too expensive? He'll cost a little bit more than we'll sell Kevin Wimmer for and take a wage similar to the departing Sissoko. Attitude? If he's leaving home and willing to come and gamble his career with the hardest working manager in the PL, then he deserves a shot. I don't see him as lazy as much as out of position and a bit lost. Chelsea, Arsenal, etc? Maybe but I doubt it. Looks at Arsenal's English buys - Walcott, The Ox, Chambers. None of them work out. Going to play for Wenger is career suicide at this point. Chelsea? Maybe but all his mates Kane, Alli, Dier all play for Spurs and I am strongly of the opinion that he's been tapped up......by them telling him how Mauricio Pochettino will rebuild his career like Rose, Walker, Dembele, etc. Given that he's not making England squads, let alone the team, he needs something. Remember, To Dare is To Do!
I don't know, if we let Arsenal or Chelsea pay over the odds for Barkley and instead bring in Seri (who Everton are now being linked with, by the way) that works for us: we'll have a player we need, Arsenal/Chelsea will have paid over the odds for a player who won't deliver, while Everton will have a gaping hole in their team - and with them needing to buy, we give them a £25m quote for Sissoko.
Our best buys have come PL 'savvy' and largely English. Buying Barkley ties in Dier and Alli a bit more than Seri and Mauricio Pochettino loves English players. Me? I'm not too bothered but Barkley's definitely option no.1. for us. Given that Barkley has said nothing to anyone about leaving Everton or anything at all until the rumour that he wanted more money than Harry Kane and Hugo, at which point his spokesmen denied it in hours, there's something definitely happening at his end too.
On the other hand, Poch also likes to sign at least one Ligue 1 player a season, so maybe we should shake things up a bit and not sign another winger?
Yet another example of the club proving some hack or ITK wrong in the space of 8-10 days. In this case, I'm naming and shaming this one...
Great news regarding Marcus Edwards. Hopefully he's given some chances in the first team. Great potential.
I see the ITK is sticking by their patently made up story by saying the standoff was successfully resolved. Obviously nobody told him the correct course of action when you get called on your bullshit is to delete the tweet in the hope nobody took a screencap of it - as opposed to, oh I don't know, admitting you every single one of your followers that you pulled your clickbait article out of your backside...
I read a post on SC saying that Edwards was "toast", as he found out his England teammates at other clubs were earning far more money and wanted out! These so called ITK's are just attention seeking morons
http://www.skysports.com/football/n...d-says-no-news-on-tottenham-contract-position Not sure how much I believe of the £25m release clause. Sounds distinctly like the sort of thing Levy would NEVER do. But then again, I used to think the same about signing players like Sissoko, so what do I know?
"We are delighted to announce that it's Roo's birthday, so we're delighted to announce the signing/s of......" ... ...... ...... ...... ...... ...... ......
