Possible? Pretty much the only specialist leftback left, the others are right sided defenders http://www.chelseafc.com/teams/on-loan-players/cristian-cuevas.html
This worrying about a LB is fine, but don't forget if we get one lots will breathe a sigh of relief whereas the sensible ones will be still looking at the paper thin squad as a whole
Not Cuevas, can't get a work permit. They don't really apart from Dasilva, but there's been concerns over his physicality. Not that it matters as he's at Charlton
Probably just get a winger from chelsea then either kennedy or boga, probably explains why were struggling to geta leftback in seems we want to buy henry or obita but probably wont pay the asking price, which in our situation and the funds weve recieved is abit absurd, you kinda think go elsewhere for a loan if ehab doesnt want to spend much but it seems abit of a mess really
A reading fans opinion on the obita situation hahaha "Agent talk, new contract time. It's due to be fair. 100% Boro aren't interested. If he did, would be on the bench, Fulham need a LB, can't see them getting owt from us. Birmingham are a step down at the moment. Hull is a clusterfuck. Only option mentioned even worth a second glance would be Fulham. Doubt we'll do business with them after their pricing of Button. I doubt he wants to go either, locally born, through the academy, has the position with little challenge and a system set up that's working for him in a team at the right end of the league. Seems pretty grounded to. Turned down Redknapp at Spurs when he was 16 - Redknapp arrived at his doorstep with a contract when he was awaiting the new one with us to be sorted. He signed again for us later that day."
We're not as bad as some people think. Yes, the squad's paper thin, but we have a fair bit of quality in there, we just desperately need more bodies.
The last bit probably gives other fans that impression about us , we desperatley need more bodies, its a cluster **** were in that situation
maybe lenny is trying a different tactic, he's said in the past he expects this that and the other. More often than not they haven't happened so now he's saying the opposite, he doesn't expect anything so theres no dissapointment when nothing happens but if it does then its a bonus. I expect the (if) chelsea loans are already sorted once they return from their tour so Ehab probably doesnt need to be here anyway
Last season we played dio down the left wing and to be fair seen as it was the premiership he did ok I would have him on one side and Grosicki on the other with three out of clucas henrickson Stewart and myler and Evandro if fit with mason to come back
I think we need more fight than diomande and grozzy, therefore bowen plays for me all day over both of them, if weir can up his game and do well at this level id rather him there too rather than half interested mercenarys
Exactly why I am not panicking like some. Realistically they won't train fully till Thursday. Would much rather us "drill" all week with what we have to be fully ready for Villa, additional signings can then be ready by Burton. I think the key signings (left back, winger, possible forward), will be at the end of the window when players know how they feature in their current club plans.
For me we all knew Robertson was going to go so we would be left without anybody good enough and a recognised replacement. Are we waiting for value for money? Will one call me in next week? Are we just trying to not look desperate and make targets more expensive? Or are we just a complete disorganised f-in shambles?? Take your pick
