Hernandez will never be the player Shearer was. 1/10 - Must try harder.

    Ah, just as I though.

I knew five mins after I posted this thread all I would get would be a bunch of bitter Newcastle fans. Lets look at this more in depth shall we? This time try to think football and put your bias love for Shearer on the table for a second.

Pace: Lol, this one is obvious. A football hating yank would even know. Hernandez is insanely fast. He was actually the fastest player at the WC. Also apparantly when the United team had a race he came first by far.

Finishing: Granted, Shearer was a top finisher, but if you cannot see that Hernandez's obvious natural talent surpasses Shearers (which was developed by kicking stones in his council estate when he was a kid btw) then you are having a laugh. Look at the stats from last season. Hernandez only had something like 3 shots miss target. WOW.

Strength: Yeh Shearer was the bigger man. But I am sure that Hernandez will develop his physique to cope with Premier League standards. Maybe he will end up stronger then Shearer. Time will tell.

Creativity: Shearer was a bit of a ball hog, and so usually found space the slip one through to Ameobi or someone.

Shot: Hernandez has a blistering shot, and don't think I haven't taken Shearers smash into account, because I have. I just feel that a shot is not all about power, finishing comes into it, and so I had to award this one to Hernandez.

    Technique: Tie.

How many shots did he have, 4?

Basing a theory on a couple of stats from one season is ridiculous. Come back when you've got a proper debate.

We're not being bitter. Just laughing off your ridiculous claims. Doesn't take an idiot to see THAT now does it.

Shearer: 31 goals in 38 premier league games. Clinical finishing at it's literal best. If Cheatarito was a better finisher, he'd have 32. you're ****e at wumming <laugh>

Shearer was consistently one of the top scorers in the league, Little P(rick) has only had one bit part season where all he's shown is he can cope with good passes from Rooney to make him look good.
