I wonder if the Allams have a new 'out' plan now we've been relegated. Extact what they can from the club, minimal investment but enough to keep the club going (loans and small fees ect). Take the extracted money off the debt/valuation of the club lowering it to a more realistic value. If we get promoted this year, they win big if we don't they've lowered the value (or wiped the debt) of the club to a value which is more sellable in our current situation. They know they have to invest in more ways than just loans as there isn't enough loan spots to fill a team, thats why we've seen small investments (Stewart and Mazuch) because for it to work we need to at least maintain our standing as a Championship club. Its a dangerous game but it seems very likely.
What ever way it is, no one (well maybe on for two exceptions) here would piss on them if they were on fire...
They can't have taken anywhere near £120m, there hasn't been that much to take, they might have managed half of it though.
These ****s could sell the club for 20 mill and still leave with their pockets filled. They don't give a **** about the club or supporters, just the pounds in their pockets
Seems to be whats happening, be nice if we can stay competitive while the allams pay themselfs back and eventually sell for a reasonable price
Also saw mention of loans against future payments (presuming parachute/prem money) wonder if true and if so have they been paid off
They spent **** all of the promotion money, they've spent **** all of the parachute payments, They got cash out of sponsors and the gates and christ knows what else. Yeah I reckon they have got their money back.
According to the twitterati, we're looking at James Lawrence, who currently plays for AS Trencin. He's a midfielder, came through the youth at Ajax. Can't remember if he played against us in Europe.
I hate them as much if not more than anyone, but that's just not true. Promotion costs a ****ing fortune in terms of player contracts / bonuses. People seem to look at this just in terms of transfer fees.
Even with all the sales this preseason and last season? Hell of alot of high earners off the books Obviously reduced income but even so
Our total income for the season in the Premier League will be around £120m, our wage bill will have been around half that (possibly a little less), I'm taking no account of the £30m-odd that we've raised from player sales this summer, as they'll not appear in this years accounts.
We also raised circa £23m in player sales and got a so called lucrative sponsorship from SportPesa. I'm a little skeptical as to how we've managed to blow all of that.
We didn't make anything in player sales last season, we got £25m for the players we sold and spent £30m (not including any loan fees).
