Umm...sorry for trying to keep our best player who was five months into a six year contract, and not just rolling over for you as you tapped him up. Our bad. How dare we.
It is high time you realise that your club is LFC 's feeder club/nursery club. It is a fair deal. We get your better players at inflated prices and you get £millions profit and get to survive in the Premiership too. Selling VVD for £50m to us is a no brainer. All you need to do is to go to Belgium or the Netherlands and get another good CB for £8-10m and there you have it: £40m in the bank!
According to a report from the Daily Mail today, the Reds have grown impatient with the Bundesliga outfit and will not be pursuing the Guinean midfielder again this summer. http://readliverpoolfc.com/2017/07/28/liverpool-reportedly-end-interest-naby-keita/
This window has been a massive drag. Started off exciting but now has descended into "are we there yet" syndrome
@Le Tissier's Laces Has VVD stuck in a transfer request or something as you seem resigned to him leaving ?
Do we believe that? Klopp is the type of person who doesn't give up easily. This chase has been so public that it will be almost humiliating to give up now. I suspect that we will increase our offer to something like £75m and they'll give in and take huge windfall.
And thats only targeting 3 players. Can you Imagine if we'd overhauled like Man City. (Solanke was already tied up and Robertson seems to have been a compromise buy)
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/transfer-news/liverpool-transfer-naby-keita-leipzig-10891152 Been done? Is this real or a tactic?
bet he's not as if he did Southampton don't need to pay him & no modern footballer gives up the filthy lucre easily.
The problem with waiting for next season is that at £48m there will a queue of clubs waiting to snap him up: Real, Chelsea, Barcelona , Bayern, PSG if only to buy him and sell him later at a huge profit. We can't be sure we'll be first choice for him !
Especially he may not be that much in demand next year. All depends on his performance in the coming season. Keita is disappointed as well.
not necessarily. Maybe they think without Keita they might not get CL and with him they will. Thats 50 big ones right there. Maybe they think they will sign him up to a new contract with a slightly bigger release clause but he gets to double his wages (ala Suarez). Who knows
