"A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: “Northumbria Police is proud of the fantastic reputation that we have for policing football in this region."
I like this bit in the op.
Do they mean like they did when we came back from Hearts a few years ago?
They deliberately stopped the train at Newcastle, caused havoc on the platform, set the attack dogs on blokes some of who had kids with them.
Then tried to force everyone down to the metro regardless of where they wanted to go, where I might add, a large gang of Newcastle hooligans were waiting. Which they knew about.
One of the poor ****s that got hit with a truncheon fell over, smacked his head on the concrete floor & went into seizure.
They would not allow anyone to assist him.
    Yeah, Northumbria's finest. Pig ****s.
Nobody has been charged with this fiasco as far as I know.
This is also the organisation that murdered Liddle Towers & got off scott free.

Glasgow folk are great, as individuals.
None better once you gain their trust.

But collectively they can be a tad excitable, particularly if they have had a drinky.

The Bennet Testimonial was a particularly badly organised in that the Fans were encouraged to come down from Glasgow early as 'events' were laid on for their entertainment by SAFC.
I doubt that The Greyhound Stadium has ever sold as much beer in such a short time!!

I'm attending a family do in the town centre on Saturday.
Hope to Hell it finished before the match does.

Nor did I, but as the end of the game approached I moved close to an exit and got ready for a quick break.

I was a lot faster then that I am now and I was into the Town and into a taxi home in record time.

My dad got me out of there about 10 minutes before the end.We never left early at games. He knew, he wasn't daft.

I remember the Rangers fans producing a Mag from the clock stand and us plucking out a Celtic fan out from the Fullwell end. Both puppets on shoulders for a back and forth.

    Now hey!

Who am I kidding, it's gone right down hill since I stopped writing for them. Wish it was down to me though <laugh> Nah, Captain Fishpaste stepped back and the lad who took over is nowt but an unethical tosser. I couldn't work with him so I left, barely know any other the writers at the moment but they seem on aboard with all Gav's ideas, and that's to drop impartiality and run one the views of just one man. That blog is in a sorry state.

Do you know what RR and ALS did? Dafa Bet funded a competition and they arranged for 22 fans to play on the stadium of light pitch for a competition, RR took half the tickets and distributed them among staff turning it into a fan vs RR/ALS XI. That was the last straw for me. He kept them for his closest at the Blog and kept half the writers in the dark, after a bit of pushing it turned out the staff places were meant to be for fans.

Tossers they are. Fan robbing unethical agenda pushing joke of a fan blog, them and ALS are the absolute pits too me at the moment.

Former EDL leader Tommy Robinson claims Celtic fans attacked him before Celtic play Sunderland
Robinson – real name Stephen Christopher Yaxley-Lennon – discusses Hoops fans’ recent showings of solidarity with the people of Palestine, saying: “Palestine hates you.”

He also brands the Green Brigade “muppets” before ending the message by saying “we are the people, God Save the Queen”.
Robinson also tweeted a picture of himself at Fletcher’s shop wearing a Rangers strip.
Northumbria Police issued a warning to fans after the violence erupted.

A spokesman said: "At approximately 1.40pm today, police received reports of an incident at Fletcher’s Off Licence in Hendon.
"Police and paramedics attended the scene after damage was caused to the off licence and allegations of assault were reported.
"A man has been taken to hospital with a head injury.
"Police enquiries are on-going to determine the circumstances around the incident.
"Police are reminding all Sunderland and Celtic fans that any form of disorder, violence or any behaviour that endangers the public will not be tolerated and police action will be taken."

Mates left him behind and he got a kicking, hard to feel sympathy when seconds earlier him and his crew were throwing flares in shops and smashing it's windows.

That Tommy Robinson is just a **** who attracts trouble.

What the hell is a right wing activist doing here at this game if it's not to cause trouble.

With specimens like this in the gene-pool I wonder if the race is doomed.
