If you are a Swansea fan and you want your best player sold, then you are clearly a bit mental. But we knew that anyway
He doesn't seem to get the fact that if Sigurdsson goes he will need replacing and the replacement will be on big money as he'll have to be very decent. Swansea won't just get to pocket £50million. If they do they will go down. Might as well just keep Sigurdsson and give him a pay rise.
I'm just pleased to have witnessed a title win first hand rather than have my Grandad tell me stories about it.
Your Grandad is a lying bastard if he says he saw you win the league back in the day I've seen us win 2 btw, plus an FA Cup and a European pot
Roof, Gylfi saved us last season and not Llorente. Without Gylfi, Llorente wouldn't have scored those goals ffs
You really comparing Gylfi with Ki? ****ing hell Roof, it's bad enough you think that Leroy Fer is better than Gylf ffs
Gylfi is worth £130m to Swansea given what the club has recieved for staying in the PL, not to mention the money that the local economy will recieve as a direct result of us being in the too flight. On the other hand, given what Gylfi done last season, he's priceless to us.
I'll assume no one read the Guardian article " Everton should think twice " . We have a net transfer in the Premier League since we got here in the black . Yet we barely keep our head above water . 80% of our incoming money goes to wages as it is . We only continue to function in this League by not spending on transfers . If we get 45 million for Siggy , it basically means we got 45 million for Ben Davies , a youth player from the system that Laudrup ( who is know for giving youth players a chance ) brought up to replace Neil Taylor when he got injured instead of bringing in someone before the window closed .
Yes i read it. It was a biased article against Siggurdson and basically said he was a glorified set piece taker and that Barkley was just as good. Article went on about people who created loads of chances but didn't get the praise because obviously whoever on the end didn't finish the chances off. No one is screaming to buy Tadic even though he created many many chances. If we took away Lampards assists from set pieces or goals from pens and free kicks he'd have a lot less. Same with Gerrard but we don't do that now do we. At the end of the day Sigi provided nearly half of your goals so if you think you can replace him you can. Without him you'd have deffo of gone down last year. He's probably not worth 50m to anyone else but at this current moment in time, he's worth 100m to you boys
When Clement came into the picture , Fer played quite a few games as attacking midfielder while Siggy moved outside . I think the first 3 games this changed happened ( I think starting with Liverpool , Siggy scored in each game from open play . This tells me that Clement wants someone as an attacking midfielder with an aerial presence and strength . Fer's nickname isn't 'The Bouncer " for nothing . And that article just stated factual stats .
Theres a reason why QPR and Norwich went down with Fer at AM and it's not because they scored too many goals. He might be called the bouncer, akinfeywa or whatever his name is called the beast. He's not playing in the prem league. Next you'll be comparing Felleini to Mkhitaryan because he's scored more goals in the PL and Mourinho played him as an AM in a few matches
The last 2 seasons Siggy played for us he won 8 MOTM . The 2 seasons Fer played for Norwich and QPR , he won 9 MOTM , 4 in a row at Norwich . The last 18 games Fer played for QPR , he scored a third of their goals . But by all means , " Blame it on Fer "
