Emanalo loves Lukaku and Conte has been on Moratas case for ages. That's the argument here not whether chelsea were trying to pull a fast one on Everton (it's obvious that chelsea as a club were interested) but we all know we have a technical director who normally handles the transfers.
Maybe Emenalo managed to talk Conte into it reluctantly at the end or They were willing to let Conte leave to get Lukaku or Because the knew it was not going to be accepted and the club wanted to placate Emenalo and the fans who wanted Lukaku.
Most clubs have a director who handles the transfers once the manager has identified the players he wants. Bodanky seems to think Chelsea are unique on that one!
1. Because ultimate it's emanelo and marina whats her name who is in charge of transfers. Maybe Tobes has a point on Chelsea lowballing and then suddenly they had to spring into action cause of United 2. Conte obviously wasn't happy, but he's not been happy for a while at the transfer situation. Whether he would have resigned or not is another thing. You're managers been moody all season but United don't think he's going to resign 3. The argument is because throughout the season the papers have speculated he fancies morata, he's been speaking to morata and hes also signed morata before hand. Also the fact he signs his contract committing himself as soon as lukaku went.
Yes, because regardless of which ever of those is correct, Conte did not want to sign Lukaku please log in to view this image
The narrative that Chelsea were trying to sign a £90m striker that the manager didn't want is cobblers though. They'd got to the point of the player agreeing to join (on the sly, the ****ing gobshite) if Conte didn't want him as his main striker there's no way it'd have got to that stage. This is just Chelsea fans making out that the manager got his first choice in Morata, after United already had him in the ****ing bag, only to drop it when Lukaku changed his mind about Chelsea.
Not the first time our technical director signs who he wants rather than the needs of the manager, case in point: - Shevchenko for Jose first time - Torres for whoever was manager at the time - Baba Rahman for 20 odd million for Jose 2nd time round
Well our record signing of Torres before was deffo an abramovic signing. Same with Shevchenko. As for Emanelo whos our director of football effectively his neck will be on the line too (to be fair he hasn't done bad) so obviously on such a high profile signing he will have his own views plus he has a hard on for lukaku
Beat me to it. @Tobes Its not a narrative at all. It happens at our club all the time, why the **** do you think we havent been able to keep hold of a manager for more than 3 years since Roman came?
Shevchenko was soley down to the owner. Where's the evidence that Ancelotti had turned his nose up at Torres and said 'no ta'?
You posted the same evidence only from an even less credible paper to back up your story ****nuts. Apparently you havent read any posts since then
Actually i am not sure Carlo was adamently against it, but it was definitely a Roman signing. Carlo towed the line better than Jose and Conte. Either way, your assertion that Chelsea wouldnt sign an expensive striker without the managers backing is bullshit
And Belotti. Don't forget his first choice Belotti. According to some papers. The wrong ones though. Allegedly.
No I didn't. You posted a few links as "evidence" that you were correct. I described them as laughable as it was easy to post other links that would disagree with what you were saying. Once I'd done that you posted that the sources you had used as evidence were clueless. At no point did I claim that the papers were a reliable source of evidence. That was you chuckles By the way, I posted articles from the Torygraph and the Sun. Have a look at the sources you cited (one was the Metro quoting the Sun) before you get on your high horse. The others were the Mail, Mirror, Star and 101 Great Goals
