Just posted about blips in our recruitment and in the new kit announcement, so might as well go for a hat trick. Lots of stuff around social media, including from Tom himself, suggesting he's in Barcelona and not Motspur Park training. For instance this one was tweeted earlier this evening: Stephen Rice@Riceyy94 2 hours ago @ThomasCairney you are my hero, great end to my holiday @ThomasCairney 2 hours ago Tom Cairney Retweeted Stephen Rice Nice to meet you to mate please log in to view this image I wish I went to Barcelona for a holiday Stories also say that he had a plaster cast on his knee. Not in the pic above but would be consistent with him being pictured in Austria with the knee heavily bandaged and him coming off early in Saturday's friendly. Understand Dennis Adeniran is over there as well, so assume it's to see a knee specialist. Realise this all speculation but enough 'no smoke without fire' for it nonetheless to be worrying for the start of the season.
Rumours are he had keyhole surgery on a minor issue and may be out 2-4 weeks which could be the first few weeks of the season. The Norwood signing may be to cover Cairney
Is that before he starts training again, Cookie? In which case he could be out longer than the 2-4 weeks.
I'm not sure Cottager but would think it's until he can play again, I remember Suarez having keyhole surgery on his knee and playing against England six weeks later and that was quite a bad injury. I think if Cairney had a bad injury there would be more news leaking out!
Following up on SuperBri's picture in the New Kit thread, notice that Tom Cairney has 'patches' on both knees.
Blimey, the Standard have a positive Fulham article. Shocked they've even got one about Fulham at all. Anyway, the point about this post is that the article is about Tom and it says, "(Cairney) will resume full training today". Great news, if true.
