Interesting comments from Daniel Levy at Spurs on transfer activity (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/40722879).
Seems we are adopting very much a similar stance, except without the years of academy set-up that Spurs have in place.
We still need defenders, creative midfielder and forward while this process builds. Come on get off your backsides and improve the team for this season. I'm all for developing our own players, we used to do it as a club once, but you still can identify good developing players from other clubs and bring them in to improve key areas (and we do like to let the opposition score - so defenders please!!!)

Danny forgot to add '...and we always have QPR as a dumping ground for players that don't cut it at inflated prices'. Other than that (and was he implying that the taxpayer should help him build a stadium?) quite refreshing.

Wise fox that Levi is. Proper chairman that is astute with money.

Report: Queens Park Rangers to finally land Watford defender Tommie Hoban
After weeks of speculation, Tommie Hoban is finally on his way to Loftus Road.

HITC sources told us at the start of this month that the centre-back would join QPR on a season-long loan deal from Watford but, as of yet, nothing has been signed.

Hoban, who has suffered a series of injury problems in the last few years, picked up a niggling knee injury in pre-season which had cast some doubt on whether he would actually make the move to the capital club this summer.

However, The Mirror reports that he has now recovered from the issue and will therefore put pen to paper with Queens Park Rangers as early as next week.

The deal will be welcomed with open arms by QPR supporters, who have endured a slow transfer window so far. Barnsley midfielder Josh Scowen and Tottenham youngster Charlie Owens are the only new faces at Loftus Road, both arriving on frees.

Shame he looks a bit like a "sicknote"

Is this a rumour or real?

We have been chasing him all summer. It was said about a month ago he was going to sign a loan deal... but then he got injured... he is a sicknote.
So we pulled out waiting to see how serious... it is not that serious so we are back in...

He played about half a season with Blackburn and got good reviews ( I am assume this the same Blackburn that got relegated!!!!).
He is a good prospect according to my ITK at Watford....but he has a near permenantly sick note.

Should fit in perfectly with Cousins, Robinson and now Hall

Ok, so we have one for the future, one is a sick note ...... which means we still have only one new real signing?

Guess lm just starting to resign myself to squat happening and hoping like hell that somehow, Ollie and the current team hit the ground running.

Nakhi wells who we cd of got for 1 million is now wanted by reading for 10 million!! Another missed opportunity!!

I wouldn't get too excited. Played well against us but he only had a few games for Wigan and has no experience at any sort of decent level before that.

Worth a punt at a sensible price though.

Bogle has been prolific at every level, natural goalscorers are like gold dust so if we can sign him it would be a boost...

I wouldn't say he's been prolific at Wigan. Two goals in five minutes on debut and a penalty against us and nothing else.

He looked great against Joel Lynch which tells us nothing we didn't already know.

Joel Lynch reminds me of Mickey Droy. Look him up you young whippersnapper. Except Joel isn't quite as good.
