I will have to see what my roster says, for the Forest game. But might just put a request to the Co-ord to see if he can keep me free for that weekend but as we still don't know our shifts for October yet, I am not going to hold my breath<laugh>

Sorry that my posting volume has slipped rather. :( I didn't really have much to say having too many things occupying my time of late.

Real shame yesterday, apart from the football, when I found a beautiful metre long snake dead in some of the netting used to protect my strawberries. It was the most lovely golden yellow colour and had died before I could release it. I have managed to cut free several over the past few years, but this one was the most colourful to date.

It is quite funny really how some of the" townies" that we have had in our hamlet of late seem to be totally lost as to what to make of it all and what to do with themselves.

Two English families got together and bought a house here and pop up from time to spend school holiday weeks in our midst. What they seemed to forget at the time of purchase was that the large area of grass that came with the house needed to be kept under control. They spend half of their holidays grass cutting. It looks as if they have now enlisted the help of relatives and friends to come and spend a week in the country with an agreement that they will cut the grass.

Once the grass has been mowed, they then start to wander around the place, if you take it slowly it could occupy your time for 10 minutes. They look at the NZ pigs, the goat and take extended walks down to the pond. As they pass by our place they see the car with French registration plates and assume that we must be French. If I am within sight they will try out their language skills on me. I quite enjoy letting them try as it reminds me that I used to hate it when I tried my best to communicate and found that the person I was talking to wanted to practice their English on me.

By and large these visitors are lost in such a rural environment and find that to be entertained you have to do it yourself unless you know where to go. If you wanted to you could go out everyday to a concert, an exhibition or even the Franglais bar. I wonder if we will see some of them again?

I am posting less as I am full on at work - we are in a bit of crisis mode and have to recover before September when France & UK come back from their jolidays and the volumes ramp up. Just finished a new C level resource plan - trouble is most of my resources are going on their jolidays over the next 3 weeks and the broom is already well and trurly lodged already! So the plan is f'ed already! and my bosses, bosses boss will not be happy - and he is a 'ammer!

Still, Curry & Quiz night down at The Vic tomorrow - I think it is also meet the new players night!

Feeling smug tonight..could it be something to do with a 1-3 loss over the boarder i wonder? Or maybe the way the commentator on Talksport said "Cardiff were poor in the second half, their passing was bad, and they ran out of ideas" or words to that effect. It's low i know, but i can't stop smiling lol

Evening all, back from a busy and rather unexpected break over the weekend and early part of the week. I went down to dad's expecting to be coming home on the sunday night, only to be reminded of the West Ham game last night. I might as well of come home!! But thats enough about that.

How is everyone on here, I see i have dropped 1 place in SLBs league, but am 3rd in division 2 for TC's fun league. I have however slipped to mid-table in the Texaco league. A mixed bag there.

I have discovered I am going to a course next week, to learn EWB. I do not think my manager is happy as I will have a good position to get a better job. EWB is a computer program writen by Dassualt to design wire systems. So no breakfasts for you.
