I didn't say that, but I think our squad is strong enough now that someone getting flustered and demanding the people who were relaxed about our squad now justify our inaction is a bit over the top.
Absolutely no ****ing chance. We are miles behind Reading, Wednesday, Boro, Villa. Too many changes to the starting 11 - nowhere near enough goals in the team.
McGregor Aina - Dawson - Hector - Henry Stewart - Clucas Kent - Henriksen - Grosicki Hernandez Is quite a strong starting XI if we can muster that.
I don't agree, I think there's plenty of goals in it, the issue is in keeping clean sheets which I think we'll struggle to do. I don't think Top 6 is out of the question but it'll be a push from the outside not tracking all season with a push for top 2.
Given we haven't signed 3 of the players in your starting 11. One is injured and one wants to move on. You can take 5 players out straight away.
Who in that XI is injured? Because he's ineffective on the right and played almost exclusively on the left for us last season.
We've barely conceded in preseason friendlies, yet you think conceding goals will be an issue? We've also barely had a threat or sniff at a goal in pre season, yet you think scoring goals won't be an issue? Jesus Wept.
We've plenty of goals. Hernandez got 20 odd last time round, Campbell has spent two half seasons in this division and hit double figures both times. This is probably the strongest strike force I can remember us having with those pair. What a bizarre comment to make. It depends who we can get in in defence, but the rest of the team currently looks good enough to challenge at the top.
McGregor Lenihan Dawson Hector Aina Clucas Stewart Bowen Evandro Henricksen Hernandez Would also be a strong XI and includes only players we've signed or are imminently signing.
Sitting out of a friendly =/= being injured. It was precautionary from the sounds of things. I can see today is a pessimistic day so I'll leave it there, but it's a bit of odd timing given we're finally strengthening our biggest weaknesses.
