Precisely mate, 2 examples: City at home this year there's 'fans' in home end taking photos of City players celebrating a goal United at home there was a bloke stood behind me (in our main singing section) trying to record the entire game. He only stopped and looked embarrassed when I said he may as well have stayed at home and watched it on Sky... **** that ****... Not what I want from my matchday experience
Biased bollocks. Coming from a fan of a club that had the biggest crook around as chairman. And now has a member of the Russian mafia. Your criticism is ****ing laughable!
United and arsenal advertising their pre season matches on national radio and in the press, City avertising their league games for this season and spurs having to reduce ticket prices for the pre season friendly at wembley all show signs that fans are not willing to be fleeced while the clubs, agents and players get wealthier by the minute. Last season Arsenal, City and united all had plenty of empty seats. Chelsea were advertising tickets in the press and plenty of live games on sky and bt were played in grounds that had plenty of empty seats. Unless ticket prices are lowered fans will drift away from live matches and the tv spectacle will be piss poor with no atmosphere in the ground. Imho the transfer fees and wages are not sustainable...I read somewhere that every live match put on by sky and or bt cost £10m - that can not last. Sky are losing revenue from pubs ditching their licences due to the expense and from fans watching on 'illegal' streams. It is only a matter of time before another club goes the way of Leeds, Wednesday, Coventry, Leicester, Southampton, Portsmouth and Charlton...only 2 have recovered and both of them went into receivership leaving others (small traders, staff, tax payers, st johns ambulance charity etc) out of pocket. Leeds "took the gamble" to go to the next step back in 2002 and they still ain't recovered. I would prefer the next club to crash and burn not to be spurs...we came close enough in 1991 and I would never want us to go there again.
Exactly mate. It's the Sky generation and they're ****ing clueless. There's a few on this forum, never been to a game in their lives.
Abramovic has committed over £230m in the last few years to a charity that enables disabled children all over the world to watch their 'dream football team'. It's just easier to ignore that though isn't it?
That boot missed, he was miles off. the expectations are not low, they are realistic. If anything this just shows that Conte thinks, that for a team with the 6th best budget in the league who finished 2nd last season..Spurs are ****ing amazing and its baffling why people dont see them for the power houses they are and thus raise the bar of irrational expectancy to everyone's liking. Conte is envious of the comfortable job Poch has for a manager of a team who are at worst the 2nd best team in the league and the most consistent over the last 2 years. He sounds like that kid who hates you because you can play freely whilst he can only play if he does his bedroom, his homework and helps his mum stack the dishes..whilst he can see Poch next door playing, smiling and getting lots of love from his father who is just in the background minding his own business with his head in his newspaper. Yeah i get the envy.
