He was inconsistent until last season, you could see the improvment coming every year. The only time he wasn't good was just after his injury.
I think Coutinho a bit of a rich man's Mahrez in that when he's on it he's truly unstoppable but he's too often marked out of games to really command the truly huge transfer fee that Liverpool would want. The only way I see it happening is if the 190m euro sale of Neymar to PSG goes through, which is unlikely.
Not too far behind? Streets behind that calibre imo. Agree world class is subjective, though not sure you'd call him that if he was a United player
Barca probably wouldn't have had the funds for Coutinho if we'd agreed to sell them Herrera. Shame that.
Conte confirms that Kyle Walker also snubbed Chelsea. Understandable. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.st...er-before-50m-man-city-deal-a3597071.html?amp
Are you starting to worry about Conte? He's been going after a bunch of players the fans think are ****. So far he's got lucky as the players keep turning Chelsea down. Conte Out? @StanDMan knows
Who did that? If you're referring to United it's yet another thing you've got wrong BHIAG. Why do you think Conte keeps going after players you think are **** (only for them to turn Chelsea down)? Why are Chelsea such an unattractive prospect to the players they go after?
Maybe its the stupid money we offer them, or the prospect of all the trophies we win, yuck players hate that. In terms of Lukaku, no one wanted him when he was a dead cert for Chelsea (other than myself coincidentally), I can definitely verify that. Walker, I think is decent, i'd have taken him. City probably offered him higher wages I imagine.
It's true that you offer crazy money and occasionally win a pot. So why do these players who you think are **** keep turning you down? This goes back to my original question as to whether you should be starting to worry about Conte. He did well with Mourinho's team but has since gone after players who the fans think are **** and, even worse, those players have turned Chelsea down so you've ended up with the cast offs. Is it his wig that is turning players off? Also Pep doesn't have a wig and BHIAG doesn't support City.
Conte didnt want Lukaku either, Emanalo did, thats what the arguing was about, and why we never bid for him until the last minute when he had already made up his mind to join United. By all accounts, Morata was always Conte's first choice, if not the clubs. Walker, I had no idea we had even bid until Conte came out and said, but I would have been happy to have him, had we succeeded.
