The Spurs owner is moaning about Man c, Chelsea spending big and they have not signed yet !, they have to fund their new stadium though for over £600 m, just to add 25,000. Why did they wait so long ? our stadium cost about £20 m plus the extension 17 years ago. Playing at Wembley will be bad also as every team going there will want a result.
Nice to see him get a taste of his own medicine, the bellend. He's forever trying to shaft clubs when they ask about his players so nice to see he's twisting.
Levy is the MD of the company that owns Spurs. At Spurs his fills the role of Chairman. He's been doing that job, successfully for over sixteen years and before that spent some time as a Director of Rangers. My point is that he has vast experience as a Football Administrator. If this recent bout of player price inflation has come as a shock to him, he must have spent a good part of those sixteen years asleep. His record as perhaps THE toughest negotiator in the Premier League suggests otherwise though. So he will want to hang onto the best of his players, those who might want to jump ship and move to potential trophy winning Clubs. To keep these he needs to convince them that they are already at such a club and to do that he needs to strengthen his squad with top quality players. So now he's the one who has to buy in. He's also the one who showed others how playing hardball can work. I doubt that there can be anybody in football, outside of Spurs, who isn't finding the irony of this a huge delight.
He was probs worse tban Jozy when you compare how much they both cost. He paid 35m for Lamela aswell the numpty.
Isn't this just a case of the biter being bitten ? Couldn't happen to a nicer bloke who has just sold Kyle Walker for 50M as has been said then whinges about prices, classic.
I don't think many do, except Spurs Fans. What most of us seem to like is the 'biter bit' syndrome. It's PRICELESS.
Danny Boy must be slipping to have made that statement. It's a sign of weakness and could be taken as an admission that Spurs can't join in with the big boys. Today we have the following in The Press.----------------------------- Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says if he could buy any striker in the world, he would go for Tottenham's 23-year-old forward Harry Kane.(Daily Mail) Use your own translations on that. Mine is Conte telling Harry Kane that if he wants to win Trophy's, he would get the chance at Chelsea. But for an Italian it's very good English, so he's in the clear just in case of any tapping up accusations. Come on Harry. Get that Transfer Request in. YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENSE.
