LS is already saying we have 4 signings so hopefully the possible signing this week will be a full back, and not the announcement of Mazuch

I think the young Shrewsbury keeper won't be the signing.

I think a deal has been struck with Chelsea for a couple of players, their Last game in Singapore is on the 29th, which would put them back in UK around 1st or 2nd

 

I was thinking of it been the slightly different, with Burton been third choice in first team (already has a lot of first team experience), and Mannion going on loan to get plenty of games in.

 

A youth team keeper really isn't the priority.

What do you mean? The youth team keeper isn't going to be in the first team, why would that hinder any first team players signing?

I don't see why we would loan him out, he'll almost certainly play in the cup games this season. Given his progression, I wouldn't be surprised if he ended the season as our first choice.

I have not seen a lot of Mannion, do you think he really could be first choice? From what I have heard about Burton he is better then under 23's

There's a lot of logic to this, they've just sold Bernadeschi to hated Juve for €40m and need signings quick to appease angry fans.

 

I know it still doesn't add up, but I suspect there's some pounds to euros misunderstanding here. It's prob something like €11m euros.

 

Reading the HDM interview with Slutsky regards transfers, i pick up a sense of frustration on his part in regards to transfers when he said " i am the head coach, the manager and director of football" my question is where is the so call head of recruitment i've not heard a peep out off him since he took up the job, the more i see of Slutsky the more i like, just feel that he's been used and sooner or later he'll be the fall guy.

 

whats with the clamour for wanting wingers, if we play 4231 then we dont want anyone playing as a winger.

 

Burton can't be for the first team surely, he spent last season at Telford in the Conference North

 

I think that's more to do with the fact he's an appalling striker than him being a good winger
