Oh he was the Brucegate guy? That story made me chuckle. So we know he's a knob but it can still work out with the right manager. If not then we can show him the door, or gate maybe.
People slamming McCormacks attitude recently, but wasn't it under Grayson where he first started to perform and develop? Hopefully he'd be able to get the best out of him.
Hadn't even thought of that, he was superb for Leeds and if Grayson was gaffer at time that's a nice link.
Makes me even more keen pal. He likes to run at people and run on and with Khazri looking more possible to be here he could be a top, top signing. I'm not against a loan on it Villa likely take that as he will be on a daft wage given he was a £13 million or so buy. Him, Vaughan and the 2 clearly able young lads and we are getting there. If only we can get a CB who isn't a liability...
He needs to go mate he's ****ing poison. We should get decent money for him and hopefully we buy smart. I'm not against the Elphick links he's solid if not a world beater, and surely there are loans available from PL clubs who would see us as an ideal club to loan to? We've just over a week before kick off be nice to have some calm, Derby look more than beatable to me and we need that positivity early doors.
If we can get Steele and ruiter, I'd be happy with those two, get rid of mika, the young gk we have looks half decent too. IF we can get McCormack as well as grabban too then I think we'd sorted up top. Midfield looks great if we keep the current squad. Just the defense to sort out, another CB and we're all done I think. All ifs and buts mind.
Apparently McCormack is happening £500k loan fee and we pay 70% of his wages, we've knocked back for grabban for a loan, they want dosh for him so think we might have to sell to get him, maybe lens Ps not grabban I meant gradel
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...underland-jason-steele-lewis-grabban-13387041 "Teesside born Steele..." Since when was Newton Aycliffe in Teesside? He was born and lived around the corner from one of the lads I work with in Newton Aycliffe! ****ing Newcastle Chronicle are as bad as the southern press!!
Happy with that for McCormack, 70% of his wages probably makes him more affordable. So we're not after Grabban anymore, but we're trying to by gradel? I'd rather just keep lens if possible.
According to the Express, recently relegated Sunderland have joined the battle between Leeds and Aston Villa for Liverpool youngster Ryan Kent. Kent joined Liverpool at the age of seven and has been progressing through the ranks with Liverpool for years now and he is very highly rated at Anfield. Kent has impressed the most for Liverpool’s Under 23 side, scoring 15 and assisting nine times in 40 games. He has also earned call ups for England’s Under 18 and Under 20 sides. He has a lot of choice as to what club he wants to go out on loan to, with Bristol City, Derby, Hull and Middlesbrough also interested in rivalling Leeds, Aston Villaand Sunderland for Kent, who has featured for Liverpool in their 2017/18 preseason games. Jurgen Klopp is prepared to allow Kent to leave the club this summer and he’s not short of suitors.
Sunderland midfielder Jeremain Lens could finally be about to end his association with the club, with Fenerbahce agreeing a ‘deal in principle’ with the Black Cats. I'm still hopeful that we're going to have a 'marquee' signing (at this level) and actually spend some decent money on someone. Would be over the moon if this was someone like Snodgrass - even moreso if Lens is leaving which I'm expecting.
Calhanoglu just signed for AC mate... for about £20m. Better player, and younger. English market is mad. Still, if they're after a set-piece specialist I know of a blond-haired, shouty Swedish lad who's available...
