Agreed. Max is not a centre back and is playing it alongside 2 loan players and a reserve player who has been out injured. very unfair to have a go at any of them IMO. But TC is entitled to his opinion, and yes Max is not good enough to plat cb this season.
Maybe some have seen more of him than me and I admit I'm going on today. If people tell me he's the tops, i'll take it on the chin. But we're a just relegated Premiership side looking to go back up and if thats what we have to go to war with.... well get ripped to bits...
New cb looks good and Max Clark is the organiser of the back four, just a pity he's not tall enough to play as a cb, would make a good sweeper.
We're told he didn't play vs Benfica cos he'd only trained 3 times since leaving Palace. Now maybe this is just me but if I was a 29 year old unemployed professional footballer looking for a new job I'd spend my summer getting the fittest I'd ever ****ing been with military ****ing fitness regimes - the lot. Sorry to say boys but having watched this and highlights of the other friendlies, Aina is not the answer so far. I've never seen a 'defender' lose his man so often. His concentration is atrocious when it comes to marking.
