What it says in the tine, what are your holiday destinations and plans? Where do you go, how do you get there and where do you stay? No bullshit about six weeks in the maldives followed by a week on the moon please, HIAG.
I won't go to the likes of Spain, Greece or Turkey. I done them all when I was younger but to many British people there now and that spoils it for me. Jamaica was an eye opener, I intend heading back there in the near future. Direct flight from Manchester. Cuba is really interesting me at the moment and I'm thinking of heading over with the bairn, she's 12. Anybody been, would it be suitable for her? It won't be this year I've got to much on until mid December now.
Never been to Cuba, it's family holiday's all the way now for me till they grow up so not sure I ever will. We're off to Atlantic coast France again, via Cantabria Spain. Biarritz to be exact, 12 days there and to and from there from Santander. The weak Euro will be an absolute bastard considering it's bloody expensive there anyway. Going to break me I think. 19 days of sun, sand, fine beer, decent wine and cracking cheese. Fully expect to be half a stone heavier by the time I waddle back into the country.
Mrs' family have a house in Marbella, not my favourite place but it's familiar and we have friends over there so will probably head out there in September. Probably going to Wales for a week as well if the Mrs gets it sorted. Too busy with work to commit to something months in advance this year, so may go somewhere further afield next year. @Safc83 I went to Cuba in 2009, parts of the holiday were ok, the beaches were probably some of the best I've seen. The food probably some of the worst though and we went to a 'top' hotel. Havana was utterly boring and full of pests trying to sell us their crap.
Not the best review I've seen then mate Anything for the bairn? Day trips? Theme parks? Swim with dolphins? etc
We did the Dolphin thing, it was decent, the best bit is that the women go wearing bikini's and when the dolphins push them out of the water at fast pace with their beaks, the bikini usually ends up round their ankles I didn't go with kids so didn't look for theme parks etc, but I'm sure there'll be something there. I'd say places in Mexico and Dominican Republic are far more kid-friendly though.
I'm off to Gran Caneria in October for a family holiday, mother in law is paying for it. Fully inclusive deal, never been on one of those holidays before. Then I'm off to Costa Rica next March\April for a trip that's more in keeping with my usual travelling style. Travel light and get off the beaten track.
Tend to try and do a variety of holidays - a mix between seeing a bit of culture as well as some chill time Last year had a long weekend in Amsterdam, a week all-inclusive in Tenerife then 8 days in Toronto This year did just over a week in Kansas City, which included a road trip across Kansas into Colorado. 5 days in Vienna and hopefully going to have 9/10 days in Mexico later in the year!
I see how that looks now. Have you been reading the private messages since last night man? ****ing hell
Going to Vienna for a 3 day break in October....can't wait to eat the cakes on offer...I like a cultured holiday as oppose to a let's share the Pool with 300 Brits
Greece in October and Dominican Republic next June. Fancy something in between but doubt I have the time or more importantly, the funds. Did Portugal and Iceland this year already along with a piss up in Dublin for my birthday with the lads
Where we go every year, region not the exact place, has a smattering of brits but it's not roofed out with them (us). Way better. As in, beyond words better. I would rather nail my knackers to a plank using rusty nails and a 8 lb lump hammer than go to any costa or canary or wherever and have to sit in the general vicinity of other british nationals. **** that, it's why we go on holiday surely? To get away from the ****s. And don't talk to me about going to an airport and getting on a ****ing plane unless I'm travelling solo with hand luggage only. Or some golf clubs at a push.
Myself, Dev, and a few of the other Celtic fans will be spending a few weeks in Asia. Think the itinery is 1 week in Vietnam, 1 week in Cambodia, and 2 weeks inside Children.
I'm going to Dominican Republic in the fall. Meant to be stunning there. I'll also be going to Magaluf in September to get smashed.
