What makes you think people will forget about Suarez? He'll go down as one of the greatest footballers ever to play in this country. How can you possibly think otherwise?

Do you think people will remember players like Gabriel Heinze, Roy Carroll, Alex, Flaurent Malouda, Juliano Belletti, Mataja Nastasic, Jeffrey Schlupp, Danny Simpson, Victor Moses and Jonny Evans in 20 years time?

By the way, Suarez will be remembered for what he did at Barcelona, not for not winning the league with Liverpool.

    He'll be remembered, end of.

He'll be remembered by fans for that one season at Liverpool when we came close because he was so very good in that season and the goals he scored were incredible. When you watch his goals from that season it's mind blowing how he scored so many unbelievable and varied goals all in one the season.

What he did at Barca is his career defined but for 1 season at Liverpool he was the best in the world.

People over here will definitely remember his season for Liverpool that year..

The Liverpool bottle job after being so impressive in attack that season is more famous that Man City actually winning the league.

Pfft. Even Le Tiss did that ;)

On your last line agree fully, that season and his first 1 or 2 at Barca he was the best imo.

    Of course he will.

I think I've stated more than once that I think he was/is brilliant, that's all you're getting out of me!

Yeah, but is it Suarez's goals you remember or Stevie's slip??

What am I on about by the way, of course Gerrard had an influence on the premier league. He handed one to City.

I think you're out of touch.

I can appreciate you not liking him (I think he's a disgusting bastard) but his influence on that Liverpool team was simply staggering.

They'd have been struggling for a Europa spot without him.

Their squad for their most important game of the season (Palace away) was simply abysmal.

    Mignolet
    Johnson Skrtel Sahho Flanagan
    Lucas
    Gerrard Allen
    Sterling
    Suarez Sturridge

Will I only remember one and not the other then?

I will remember that season for a variety of reasons, the biggest being Suarez's performances.

That season Suarez nearly won Liverpool the league on his own, pretty much. IF we had won the title that year he would have gone down as the best ever in the PL.

    Small margins.

I'm not out of touch. At all. His influence on that side is enormous as he was their stand out best player by a mile.

The point I have been making, which simply references the article in the OP, is when ranking these players as all time PL greats, surely you can see that had Liverpool won the league he (and indeed Gerrard by default) would have had their reputation massively enhanced. I don't even know why this is even a debate, it just would.
As time passes Suarez's contribution to the premier league will become a footnote to his overall career. Because what he's done since eclipses what he did in that one season and what others have done in the premier league also eclipses that one season.

Gerrard is another debate really, I know there are those (predominantly Liverpool fans) who think he was excellent and those, myself included, who think he was very much meh.

Suarez was brilliant, I'm not even arguing that.
