No one has said they have won it all by themselves.

Did you read the article i linked by the way or are you just naming good players?

IF Gerrard was as good as you claim then he would have been the difference between winning the league and not winning the league. He never was.

As it goes he still didn't manage it when a far superior player in Suarez was also in the team with him.

No he wouldn't because he was never in a Liverpool team that was good enough.

Ah yeah, forgot about Suarez. Add him to my list <ok>

Another who had zero influence on the premier league and never won it. Biggest impact he made was getting himself banned.

31 goals and 21 assists in 33 games during 13/14.

52 direct goal contributions in less than a season. Nobody has even been close to that.

Scored or created a goal every 57 minutes. <laugh> Mental.

Superb player. I say that through gritted teeth but he is.

That's not the point though in this case. He had a couple of cracking seasons and moved on without ever influencing or winning it.

Compare that with Ronaldo's very similar scoring for United for instance. Players who make a big and lasting mark on the league mark on the league.

I don't know why I'm bothering because you're clearly biased but surely you can appreciate that Suarez scoring 31 and getting 21 assists in a poor side is a better achievement than Ronaldo scoring 31 and getting 7 assists in the Champions League winning team?

Football is a team game. Ronaldo played in one of the all-time great football sides. Suarez did not.

Players better than Cant in their respective positions in no particular order.

    1. Henry
    2. Shearer
    3. Ronaldo
    4. Gerrard
    5. Lampard
    6. Terry
    7. Drogba
    8. Bergkamp
    9. Giggs
    10. Scholes
    11. Schmeichel (Casper)
    12. Carvalho
    13. Aguero
    14. Vidic
    15. Rio
    16. Cech

I can debate about another 10.

    Suarez definitely too.

I disagree, Gerrard was a much more complete midfielder than Lampard for example.

Nah not at all Spurlock, yeah he went up another lever when he went to Madrid but he was still the best player in the world in his last season at United. Absolutely incredible.

No idea how you can put Jnr in and somehow leave out Snr, who was the far better keeper....

No, I don't. Because Suarez won **** all at the end of it so the only achievement is a personal one and I'm fairly sure he himself ranks it way down on his now growing list.

Just to be clear through, Suarez is a great player. The exact opposite to Gerrard in fact.

I think it's fairly clear that he wasn't being serious.

I think that bit was a wum mate as he liked my comment laughing at it.

Not sure Drogba was better than Cantona either.

Aguero is an interesting one though @Chief, would you say he's been a hugely influential player for both City and the league?

On that logic, did you think that Stevan Jovetic's 3 goals in 13 PL games during that Suarez season was more impressive because Man City won the league?
