Yeah. Same as last season. Maybe a bit more attention to width.

Gardos is poor in the u23's as well. Nice guy who I have chatted to a bit, but not a good player.

Never hurts for a striker to start scoring.

Went to the game and it felt like a proper lower league ground and the Brentford staff were extremely welcoming!

Brentford's played to wide men and gave us a tough time in the first half, our defence was rather porous and some of our players looked rusty. However we started the second half extremely well and we started to flow. Then all the changes late on led to Saints losing their momentum.

I thought Steven Davis was our best player and Boufal put in a real shift and looked hungry.

Interesting that Gallagher played wide right.

I thought their DM Sawyer was excellent until his own player kicked him in the guts which resulted in our first goal. a midfielder that looks to move the ball quickly to the attackers yes please

Different manager, same footballers, same style of football, same problems. I wasn't inspired. This team needs freshening up no matter what Les says.

The team move on to France now (a left over from Puel's reign). Perhaps we'll have a preseason in Argentina when Mauricio leaves. This will be particularly useful as all the players will be back in training.

Charlie looks a tad slimmer than he did last season, and before. Can't say that stripes are slimming because that's been the case throughout. Looks a trimmer lad to me.

Away strip looks really nice. All-white socks, with nary a trace of hoop, look classy.

Funnily enough, I really dislike the white socks - very bad memories of school hockey kit

Are the white socks part of this kit or just because Brentford were wearing dark socks?

Has there been any indication of the pressing style Les hinted at when we hired Pellegrino?

Only two pre-season games in but yes there has been a slightly visible pressing game.
