# It was a extention he signed so the original contract must have run out this season, otherwise why would he be holding a shirt with 2019 on it?? His contract doesnt expire this season But agreed we still need to get him tied to a longer contract
I've been one of McGregors biggest fans but injuries seems to have affected him and Jak really grew in confidence when Silver made him number one
Looks like 2019 then. We do need to be offering him a new one before he becomes a first team regular!
I think this is the current contract expiry situation Loan (1 year) 2018 – Aina, Ola 2018 - Dawson, Michael 2018 - Diomonde, Adama 2018 - Hernandez, Abel 2018 - Lenihan, Brian 2018 - Luer, Greg 2018 - McGregor, Allan 2018 - Meyler, David 2018 - Odubajo, Moses 2018 - Olley, Greg 2019 - Batty, Daniel 2019 - Bowen, Jarrod 2019 – Campbell, Fraizer (club has one year option) 2019 - Clucas, Sam 2019 – Evandro, Goebel 2019 - Henriksen, Markus 2019 - Keane, Will 2019 - Marshall, David 2019 - Mason, Ryan 2019 - Mannion, Will (club has one year option) 2019 - Weir, James 2020 - Grosicki, Kamil 2020- Stewart, Kevin
How can you say injuries have affected him as you haven't seen him play Peter. He was our number 1, got injured. Got fit in December and went on loan to Cardiff to play games. Where warnock really rated him and wanted to sign him. Now he's back and he's our number 1 again. Jak did well but In the same way mcshane became a hero, thought so bad that when he was actually ok it turned to he's brilliant.
In my opinion (what doesn't count for a lot) Jak was average but at times brilliant which made him look great.
Jak was very theatrical, made routine saves look eye catching, in doing so making himself look far better than he actually is to the untrained eye.
I'd be offering Hernandez, Meyler, Clucas and Bowen 2 year extensions on their current deals. I'd offer Dawson, Odubajo and Diomande (depending on his wage) 1 year extensions. But of course we'll let them run down.
I can't see any reason why Premier League signings would want to renew their contracts while we are in the Championship. The terms would inevitably be worse, or at least no better, than what they are on.
Which of those is a PL signing except Hernandez and Dawson? Hernandez will most likely turn us down, but at least make the effort. I think Dawson would accept.
Where Marshall or McGregor would just drop their body behind the ball and stop it safe in their arms, Jak would be spinning through the air doing cartwheels and knocking the ball round the post or back out into the box.
