You can't read too much into friendlies, we had some good performances last night, no idea how strong their starting 11 was comparatively, what it does show is that we have the makings of a decent enough first 11, and that with strengthening in the right places we could be competitive in this league, but we need another 8 or so players to make that happen and I just cannot see us bringing in that many, we've only another 4 loan spots and I suspect little intention of spending much of what we've sold.

Only the goalkeeper, Julio Cesar, CB Luisão And maybe the forward Mitroglou will be in the 11 starter for the next season. The rest of the team was from team B our bench players. Only in the second half after the goal, some first eleven players coming in. Hope you do well this year and return to premier league.
Spot on Stewart and Clucas played well and looks a good partnership, put a lot of work in off the ball, closing down, and used the ball when they had it well.
Defensively Aina is better than Robbo at left back, and Lenihan is better then Elmo at right back, just saying like.
So....... Aina, Bowen, Lenihan, Mazuch(if signing), Stewart....are we developing something new and positive here?
It's movement in the right direction and we may be replacing some of what we've lost, but we've got a long way to go to build a squad that's going to withstand the fixure schedule in the Championship + cups.
